But, that's a large step and we can only start with baby steps.<br><br>I would hope that if some enterpreneuer(s) can come up with a system that works for both the recording industry and consumers, that it wouldn't matter who owns the technology.<br><br>I have a feeling it won't be that easy and that the recording industry will be dragged along kicking and screaming. That is why RIAA places the blame on their slump in sales to P2P when in fact their product realls sucks and the indies are capitalizing on that hole.]]></description>

I'd be all for paying the artists & not pirate music as long as the money went SOLELY to the artist.  Until that happens, I will be "stealing" music from the newsgroups.  The labels & RIAA raped me for years in the late 80's & 90's with their price fixing (which they were convicted for) and I'm justifying my theft as getting even for paying 18 bucks a CD 10 years ago.  I have over 300 CD's I've bought so I've got a ways to catch up.  Eye for an eye.]]></description>
