"Good policy"...well maybe
anything that spells merger is "good". How about splitting others carriers up for "competition"? well "not good". While consolidation is a natural industry cycle, it does not equate to "good" all the time. |

The start was supposed to be 11 A.M., but it could start hours later than that.

At 2 p.m., the FCC had still not begun its monthly meeting--scheduled to start at 11 a.m.--even after clearing a number of items off the agenda that were either pulled or already voted on. --

I agree with you that white space devices will cause problems because the proposed power levels for the portable devices are too high and the fixed base stations should be nominally licensed but how does that have anything to do with Clearwire, Xohm and their future nationwide licensed WiMax network? |

In a 5-0 vote Tuesday, the Federal Communications Commission approved a plan to combine Sprint's Xohm network with Clearwire's WiMax-like network. Google Inc., Intel Corp. and a group of cable companies are investing billions into the $14.6 billion venture, which will carry Clearwire's name.
