If I can. I'm about 1500 feet from the VRAD. 18/1.5 sounds great. Keeps Comcasts 16/2 tier at bay. |

The upload still sucks...18/18 for $65 would be OK though. |

It's actually a pretty good package. I wouldn't mind something like this.
10 seemed a bit too low, but 18/1.5 sounds good to me.
Too bad South FLA wont see this for a while =( |

Is it for sure now that U-Verse internet is available as a standalone? I have DirecTV and I don't want Uverse TV, just Uverse phone and this new 18Mbps internet! |

Speed sounds good, but the whole "still in the lab" thing needs to go away. They just need to run it out somewhere, at least a couple of homes and see what happens.
I hate it when the Marketing people get ahead of the smart people. I'm sure some guy somewhere said "Yeah, gets up to 18 Mbps in the lab but not sure about real work tests yet", but they stop listening after "18 Mbps" as they hurry to get out the word. -- Fight NebuAD and the like: Click Here to pollute their data |

im 600 ft from the vrad. i'd be more than happy with 18/1.5 i already get a solid 10/1.5 another 8mbps downstream would be great. i'd be more than willing to get rid of my U100 to get this. |

want the option to get U-Verse. Like the way their marketing goes ahead of actual deployment. The Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area has yet to see any REAL wide scale deployment. But they sure so advertise it. |

How about having VDSL2 plans with no tv? taking over the old dsl plans in area?
Like boosting
786 to 1.5 / 512 dsl or 3.0 / 1 on VDSL2
1.5 to 3.0 / 512 dsl or 6.0 / 1 on VDSL2
3.0 to 6.0 / 768 dsl or 15 / 1.5 on VDSL2
6 to dsl line max / line max or 25 / 1.5 or higher on VDSL2.
At least to have speeds more in line with cable. |

U-verse Internet has been available standalone for some time. However, they only offer "Max" standalone. Or, from what I've read, you can also get it if you don't qualify for regular DSL. They seem to charge a $99 install fee.
With the way AT&T's promos are structured, you're better off trying out their TV service and canceling after 30 days. Then you'll qualify for $200 back and free install. -- AT&T U-Hearse Your funeral. Delivered.

I live in San Francisco and would be happy to achieve 1.5Mb in the DOWNSTREAM ... the only thing working in ATT's favor in my house is that I am too lazy to replace my crappy internet (hardly broadband) connection.
