Its a little misleading.
The term 'Americas' is used vs. America
Which typically means North America (Canada/US/Mexico), Central America and South America.

They probably mean subscriber IPTV. I wonder if Fios is considered IPTV?

Fios is not considered IPTV...as it uses cable architecture where it shoves all channels to your tv at once...IPTV only downloads the stations you are going to watch...and uses less bandwidth..

Actually the article states North America...North America is Mexico,The United States, and Canada...Central America and South America are not included in these figures..

Looking at the cost of U-verse: »https://uverse1.att.com/OmsNavigateMenuAction.do

It's no cheaper then what is being offer today from cable or Satellite.

That is because the largest part of the costs are for the content - NOT the delivery mechanism. Hollywood has control of the product and the costs.

Re: Where at?

The closest thing I see is a general broadband statement for North America and Latin America and a spreadsheet showing 'Americas' on the pdf document.

If I get television from my ISP via twisted copper phone wire, does that constitute IPTV?
