to him for winning the gold medal... I can't say I'm too fond of his business, but he is a good skiier. At least he isn't collecting any money from sponsors but paying for everything himself. |

Maybe his Gold Medal should be taken and used to reimburse all the people his software and dealings have effected/infected. Or even if he is brought into a court of law, found guilty of spam/malware damages be stripped of his accomplishments. |

  haha funny
@3menatwork.com | He doesn't deserve
He doesn't deserve gold medal for the olympics.
He does deserve gold medal for making spywares and making profit at such early age. |

No matter what his skills and accomplishments as a skier, he is a lowlife skiing on the edge of illegality in his business ventures. I can only wish him future visits from legal authorities and dozens of lawsuits to plague him for years to come. It would be truly ironic if his Olympic fame brings him a lot of attention from the likes of Microsoft and Yahoo launching lawsuits against him. -- -- Join Red Room Forum BLOG tkjunkmail.blogspot.com Conrail Photo Album |

| Oh geeeze....
People got nothing better to do then to sit around and look up gold medal winners previous business relations so they can pull up some dirt and get "A story"!
There are some seriously whacked people in this world. Got to worry about everyone but themselves. Now if this guy didn't win a gold medal no one would have said a god damn thing about it. Or even cared.. But people love to hate something. Even if its nothing..
Front page news eh? Hardly... |

Spyware, as it is known today, was business as usual on The Internets eight or even five years ago. The guy is 21 years old, and I doubt he even thought out the consequences of what he was doing at 13. Doesn't really matter though because what he did wasn't illegal.
Do I think adware (which is really what this was) isn't A Bad Thing? No. But there are far nastier things out there to spend all this indignant energy on. These folks make it sound like he's running for President. -- Toolmaster of La Grange. |

They didn't undue their damage nor their crimes by winning a medal in sports. Hopefully they just became easier to arrest and prosecute. |

| You evidently aren't one. Robbing a bank is illegal. What he did isn't.
And...if you robbed that bank as a minor, it's a good bet that you'd have that erased once you turned 18.

Try again. Sorry, what he did do WAS illegal and always has been. The additional laws were created to make it easier to prosecute these sorts of scumbags. But exploiting security holes to place spyware on someone's computer has never been legal.
I find it amazing anyone would defend someone that exploited any security hole for their own personal profit at the expense of someone else. As someone that has spent more hours than I can count eliminating spyware from all of my computers and my friends computers, I think death by slow torture would be too good for these guys. These people are the scum of the earth and the bane of the Internet. Hiding behind age and lack of more explicit laws doesn't change that.
