Well, I checked the site:
»www22.verizon.com/FiOSforhome/ch···age.aspx
It must be a typo. Eitherway, very few parts of LI are even set up yet! I live in Jericho, a very "affluent" town, only a mile from Hicksville which is a major node for Cablevision. I have yet to see a single fiber truck anywhere!
I am interested in switching, but can't realistically expect to see this service offered to me before this time next year (if not later). --

1 edit | reply to DownLow I think this applies to anyone in OOL areas that also have the Fios option aswell. The price changes after they insert their phone numbers »[ fiber tech] 30/5 is $54.95! -- OutKast Clan |

I have FIOS and just check mine... nothing has changed from a pricing standpoint. SO... it is NOT a nationwide offering as of yet. :(:( |

| Now Verizon...
enters the area of Predatory Pricing as Comcrap has. If they can offer it (30Mb @ $55) there, they should have to offer it in all of their FIOS markets. If they "can't", that is Predatory Pricing and illegal. If they "won't", that is Predatory Pricing and illegal. |

| reply to oliphant I have no problem with adjusting pricing to the local market conditions, but what bothers me is that Verizon appears to be willfully redlining their FIOS deployments and nobody seems to give a sh*t. -- "If PCs are hard, then Macs are flaccid" -bb |

1 edit | As has been shown here time and time again, there is no redlining, especially here in California. Some of our poorest communities are seeing deployment while the richest sit and wait. Same in New Hampshire.
Cutting prices to defeat competition while other markets get higher prices is illegal unless Verizon can show cause (eg higher costs of delivery of the service). |

You have any idea how many already have 100mbps and even 1gbps both ways for less that what we pay for our 15/2mbps plans.
