Does this mean I own Win98se

Seeing that support for Win98se is about to lay that OS to rest.Does this mean .A)I will get my money back.? .B)Since the eula will may/will be retired with 98se.I WILL actually own the software.? I think so. or .C)Since the eula will/may still be active for win 98se.I figure Bill Gates owes me a new copy(free)of Windows (XP).I'm not about to spend more $$$ on a still possibly active eula.To compensate me for $ lost on an old eula.
BTW: What did Bill's wife say to him on their honeymoon.? Is that why you call it Microsoft.?

Once again...

The legal, paying consumers are forced to jump through many hoops and the pirates will slide by. All these anti-piracy schemes end up like this. The people who play by the rules are screwed and the pirates will simply avoid the hoops all together. There will always be a way around it.

And to anyone who says you don't HAVE to use Windows, I say you are full of it. Yeah, we pretty much have to use Windows. I guess I could choose to use another OS, but I'd loose access to many apps I want or need. I really do not have much of a choice.

I also agree that home users should given a more lenient "home license", for more easilly transferring use to another machine and maybe allowing one copy to be installed on an additional desktop PC or laptop, etc. This interrogation when changing hardware is simply insulting. (i upgrade my hardware a LOT) I legally purchased all my OS's until XP and it's activation crap, now I pirate it with great pride. I simply refuse to justify my use of it to M$ and I refuse to give them one penny until they find a less invasive process. Otherwise, I have always glady paid for products I use.

I proudly hate M$ and the insulting way they treat thier customers...and former customers.

Ebay.....

What prevents one from selling a pirated disc to Themselves via Ebay??
Sell the legit copy?
Profit from Microsoft's scam?
Pirate legitimacy scam shuts down?

I can't see this going on for too long. It will either shut down or be abused to the point that it gets impossible to use (basically shut down).

@mchsi.com
I'm not sure, but this has to be at least the fourth time this year some variant of this has been published as "news" here.

I hope some of you folks do not have children, and if you do have young kids in grade`school, do you teach them how to steal the test and cheat? Or better still, you help your child lie to the school and to themselves. Great job, "sarcasm" maybe when they are older and in prison, you can help them lie to the lawyer.

Amazing how so many people try and justify theft, lies, greed and lack of any decent social behavior. Hope you enjoy your view in the mirror. DEVIL!!!

I'm running a pirate copy of XP because......I'm a f**king
pirate! I don't like rules, regulations or laws and I don't like paying for anything! Microsoft plunders millions of dollars a day while the government looks the other way and while Big Bill looks the other way, I steal 200 bucks worth of his monopolistic booty. ARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Geez, I'm an evil bastard!
