I come from HK

Well, I come from Hong Kong, and I can tell you all that ISP sucks.. there is two Fxxking ISP in Hong Kong, the first one is the HKBN, and the second one is I-Cable.

The Broadband service In Hong Kong is about $100~$200HKD (1USD=7.8HKD), depends on the ISP and service, anyway, the BIG 2 is IMS and HGC, IMS provide service up to 512Kb/6Mb at about $160 ($22USD)(may be some user can get lower price) while the HGC provide service at 10Mb/10Mb using Gigabit ethernet or VDSL at about $123 HKD (16USD).
All these service didn't have any data/time limit, and there really can give you the max speed when it is not at high session.

Back to the HKBN, that ISP was Known to cap user speed in the pass when they download too much, so do that I-Cable.

Further details

The service includes up to 20 Mbps of International bandwidth. This is the same for the 100Mbps and 1000Mbps services.

1000 Mbit Hong Kong, 20Mbit international

I read in a different article, that 1 gbit/s applies only to Hong Kong, their international connectivity allows for 20 Mbit/s speeds on the same network.

Ok so they've got bandwidth...

You all have been fawning over the bandwidth in Hong Kong, and at the same time complaining about the bandwidth here. That's all great and well within your rights (and for most of you it's even justified) however nobody seems to have thought of the bigger picture here.

»Attack of the Chinese Zombies

right now the US is the major producer of spam. *rolls eyes* I have no respect for anyone in that market so I won't even go there. How long is it going to take some pie eyed pissant russian spammer to see some chinese machine operated by a clueless nitwit sitting on a 1Gbps pipe? Think of that... 1Gbps x 800,000 households... zombies... spam. That's enough viagra to have all of us with erections from now until well after social security collapses.
