Just another nail in the coffin

of life in the gentle, peaceful lane.

What do you expect when the ads on TV tell you you'll get "instant relief" from whatever ails you at the moment. Or where movies and shows show you that an entire life can be experienced in 93 minutes, or that a new virus can break out, infect thousands, and the cure be found (something we have yet to do for so much as ONE SINGLE VIRUS) all in 30 minutes - minus time for those "instant relief" commercials.

The we get hit with the always on broadband ads showing instant gratification for all your virtual desires and demands...

And yeah, would I go back to dial-up? Not without one hell of a fight!

Nothing else really new here. Whenever anything is invented that speeds up a process, animals become accustomed to it.
