If they did that in a Movie theater their ass will be grass.. What if someone has a Heart Attack or some other Illness when watching a movie or anything like that, But can't use their Cell phone because it's Jammed?

I'm actually thinking about buying one of those cell phone jammers for my trips to the movie theaters, and other unethical cell phone abuse area's. I found one that claims 90 feet coverage radius, for a good price. I wonder if this stuff really works well though.

It depends if the movie theater did it on purpose, also if they jam signal, they should mark the area as being a no cell phone area.
If someone is having a heart attack, it's not that far to run to get help so someone can call 911 from the LAND Line (which 911 automatically knows where a call is originating from when it comes from a LAND Line, opposed to not knowing via cell phone).
I'm thinking about buying one just so when I goto the movies, I don't hear cell phones ringing every 10 minutes or some obnoxius lady screaming into her cell phone cause she doesn't want to get up and walk out.

| I don't know where you are from, but im from a town that is over ran with rude people, who think they are the only people on the planet. I'm not racist, but I can only point out stuff I see, it's usually kids that refuse to shut their phones off, and it's usually large african american women who want to stay in the theater and carry on a phone conversation at the top of their lungs. All of this data is just a representation of where I live (NE Georgia), might be different in other area's.

I need one mounted in my car! I'm am soooo tired of lane-wandering vehicles, slo-pokers, and Roger Ramjets that all turn out to be tuned out of driving and tuned into the phone. |

My employer, Fiber Planners, has at least one power utility client that's reported interference to its' internal wireless communications system. Their system operates on other licensed frequencies, indicating that at least some of the jammers are not very discriminating.
This client spent several days investigating before they isolated the problem. Since the first occurrence, they've had a second, unrelated incident.
One jammer user was a strip joint that didn't want picture phone users sending pictures of dancers. The other was a church that didn't want interruptions.

If you have a communications system that is licensed by the FCC contact them immediately as interfering with licensed services is definitely a illegal - for any purposes. Even if you do it by accident - such as having a out-of-tune transmitter - they will come down on you like a ton of bricks.
A church that didn't want interruptions, you say?
TOO BAD!!! Post a notice that cell phones are not allowed.
In the case of the strip joint, there is a wider range of things they can do. They can post a notice at the entrance and just have bouncers eject the people caught & take legal action
Of course there are always exceptions, such as calling for help if someone is ill or emergencies like that but that's what cell phones are good for - emergencies, not creating a nuisance . |

What this friend covered is perfect, the issue happened on last sunday in Shiyan Theater/china was exactly same as he said, and both of theater staff and audiuance can understand on cell phone jammer using in such a public site although I am a safety items busiess lady, I want what we sell are used legally, understandablly......
