| I dont use google toolbar I found this guy's web site, he uses ATT worldnet for his internet provider but his concepts work good for eliminating pop ups etc. It works by disabling Java in internet explorer and having to prompt you things. I tried it on my PC and it works good. Doing his procedure to a T requires that if you make strict use of internet explorer's trusted sites and restricted sites and security. He uses his internet provider as the example. When you go to an unknown web site internet explorer asks you questions before proceeding etc. When you say no the web page may not load properly but atleast you don't get pop-ups, once you know the web site is ok you can put it in the trusted site list, etc. The guy's web site is located at »bshagnasty.home.att.net/browsersettings.htm for how to use the built in security features in Internet Explorer. It seemed to work for me. |
