Of course, the goal of most hackers is not to get at your MP3s and digital pictures, but rather to commandeer your PCs to use as 'zombies'. IOW, they will use your PCs for DoS attacks, to send spam & malware, to use as a 'shield' to hide their identities when hacking other machines, and possible even to trade child pornography with.
