So you will have a choice of LaBatt's VOIP or LaBatt's VOIP lite. LaBatt's VOIP lite is less filling and LaBatt's VOIP tastes great. |

Beer and VoIP are they compatible?? This is shaping up to be one of life's great mysteries. I think I need to go get a beer, Homer Simpson would certainly approve. |

I dont quite understand how this is considered "silly"... I think its a great move, by companies to start using a young fresh technology with so much potential... (Im a VOIP user, and I work in the industry...lol) |

I think that's the problem some of us see. After a time some people get sick of technical "flash in the pan's".
Selling something below a price point only serves to drive out the competition who is actually interested in investing in the future of the service, rather than the "dot-com" looking to market something quickly or other short term visions (IPO, sell to another company, buy a corvette for trophey wife # 3) -- "When you're right, nobody remembers, and when you're wrong, nobody forgets" |

Not really...
BellSouth officially offered a branded VoIP service months ago (actually it was resold Vonage under the BellSouth name)... and they were in the position of competing with themselves. They have already ceased offering the service. -- DSL Lab Rat |

I didn't necessarily mean "silly" in a completely negative way...
As DSLKnowitall points out, I start to get shivers when I see dozens upon dozens of companies rushing to all provide the same thing, at price points they can't support, offering products that often aren't very good. Usually means some kind of ugly explosion is coming. |

Yes, I forgot about that. It was very brief, and they were re-selling Vonage service with at the same time engaging in a spat if I recall... |
