| This makes me smile They're surprised and dissapointed that we haven't all switched to digital crap? Please! I'm perfectly happy with standard cable. It comes in crisp and clear. Moreso than digital could ever wish to.

| Re.... No one has mentioned it yet, but what about Cable broadband providers, such as TW, allowing users to view the digital tv channels over the net?
I do not really watch tv, as I am on the internet all the time. But if I could get cable television content through my digital internet connection I probably would watch. I mean, how hard could it be to set up a system like Cisco's IPTV (»www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/···ex.shtml).
Then again, I suppose the network would be slowed way down as more people started using it. Hmmmm, it would be interesting if they could get that sorted out. I think that is where this is all heading anyway...a 5 meg fiber connection to your front door that carries telephone, television, and data for $38.00 per month.

| I want my premium channels! Satellite TV cannot give me nearly the number of premium channels that digital cable can.
My local cable: 20 Starz SuperPak Channels
DirecTV: 12
My local cable: 16 Showtime/Flix/TMC channels
DirecTV: 8
My local cable: 12 Cinemax Channels
DirecTV: 3
My local cable: 14 HBO channels
DirecTV: 7
Do I actually need that many premium channels? Yes. Let's see... shall I pay $12 for 3 Cinemax channels or 12... tough choice.
There is only one reason I would ever get DirecTV and that is to get their NFL Sunday Ticket. Darn monopolists are paying a hell of a lot of money to keep it exclusive. | |

| tv sucks whether dish or cable I payed (cancelled Digital today lol)$100/mo cdn to Shaw cable for Digital Cable and Internet but after reading this thread and looking at what Digital Cable offers I cancelled my Digital service and got one of their Buisness internet plans, 70gig/mo cap and basic analog tv for $105/mo, now I get the basic channels and the shows I don't get I download 
Since I only watch a select few tv series and a LOT of movies I feel like I'm getting twice the value for my $100 now.... | |
