AOL Has its place

Every ISP has its ups and downs. There are probably just as many people that hate it as there is that love it. Aol has some great features. I admit the email program is lacking and tech support is at times seem....well.......ok they are horrible most the time and seem to be reading off Q cards. Spam can be a problem. But I dont get a lot of it. The only reason why I got it in the first place was because my wife wanted it. So I purchased the BYA plan. Later I could not afford both so I kept AOL so I could keep her happy and I wouldnt have to sleep on the couch. My daughter was getting old enough to get online (they grow up soo fast ) anyways the parental controls work out great. Its a nice feature for everyone to have their own screen. Aol started growing on me. Im on AOl broadband now and get about 768/128. I never had a problem. Im quite capable of setting my own internet connections up. I trouble shoot computers for people and my government workplace so inexperience is not an issue. They have a lot of broadband content. Sure you can get on the web, but its nice to have it all there. If I dont like AOLs content Ill just go on the web like everyone else and get it there. Its not a problem. Members are not restricted to just AOLs content. AOL knows Im sure that there are a lot of people out there that cant stand AOL. I thank all you "AOL Haters" because of you AOL is trying to constantly improve and will make it that much better for AOL Members. I think I will keep it for now anyways.

gee, and they will learn quick that there is no real restriction to the "net", just routers and proxy...Ok kids a new lesson for ya. "Surf the web on port 80, bypass it via webproxy or translating from Portuguese to english"

Download multiproxy, I have a couple of rebel friends with it, its like the only way to use aol and still surf the web

Dont have to wait for 9.0 get the content now

If your an AOL subscriber you can go to CNN.com and access the premium pay features ie: videos etc.. and watch them now with out having to pay or sign up.
