Trivial numbers.

These are trivial numbers for a state.

150 miles are slightly more than 1% of 12,000 miles. $150,000 is a rounding error considering the amount of money subscribers pay.

No kidding. $5 million to get service to a mere 3,000 POTENTIAL new subscribers? I am surprised they even took on that investment.

OR... GWI has them really beat.

FTTH beats both those technologies hands down.

250/250 for $60 a month... That's tough to beat.

So why has that company not wired up the entire state already?

DOCSIS 3.0

When TWC finally upgraded the Biddeford area to D3, I upgraded grandma's Internet (with her permission) to a faster speed for when I use her connection.

They gave me an Ubee D3 gateway with voice/data/wifi connectivity.

I have had D3 since Comcast upgraded our area almost four years ago.

Because the state hasn't made them.

Fairpoint is an evil company that takes advantage of it's customers and provides terrible, inconsistent service. They go and "expand" other areas while neglecting their original customers from even before the Verizon stuff.
