The push is on from police and spy agencies from all countries to remove once and for all, anonymity on the Internet. The UN will aid and abet that goal. This trend is inevitable - even if it takes years to make it happen. -- »www.gop.com/2012-republican-platform_home/ »www.gop.com/2012-republican-plat···onalism/ |

| Defund the UN! Defund this abomination! Ever hear of UN agenda 21? It's on there website, some people have broken it down so you know what it's about. (Do your own research on un agenda 21) You won't have states rights, or property rights, and stuff like that. |

 | Yes, line up everyone. Lets just hand over OUR freedoms to feel like we're safe.
That's been working so well for everyone.

Re: UN is all for a restricted Internet No only remove anonymity, but punish people who violate the laws of countries even if said people aren't in that country. Post a photo of your wife driving the car by herself? Get charged with a heinous crime in Saudi Arabia. If this goes through (though how they'd implement this, I have no idea), the Internet would become as free as the most restrictive country. (i.e. Not free whatsoever.) If we get to that point, would the last one off the Internet kindly turn off the lights? -- -Jason Levine |

Open internet is used by terrorists, law-abiding people should be ok with having every keystroke captured, encryption is suspicious activity. -- ~ Project Hope ~ |

The UN wants a one-world gummint (i.e. them). Control of the internet is just one part of that. -- Don't feed trolls--it only makes them grow! |

Re: UN is all for a restricted Internet Inevitable?? I wouldn't go that far. Granted there are those that would love for that to happen but that doesn't mean it's definite. I don't even think it would be technologically feasible unless you implant RFID chips in everyone; even then, it would be hackable. You have to consider the expense and the justification. Considering we have so many other anonymous 'venues', I see little point. For instance, what about all those anonymous blue boxes that I can drop a letter into and have a message delivered to anyone... should those be eliminated also? I agree there are those that want ALL anonymity eliminated but I don't see it happening... ever. |

In a few years with a few more tweaks, they'll just need the chip, get rid of the person entirely. Think how wonderful THAT will be, a world full of chips. No more pesky people to mess things up. -- Isn't it sad that those that raise their right hand and swear "to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America" are usually the ones most likely to trash it. |

Eventually, humanity must achieve sustainability in a finite world, or suffer the same fate of bacteria in petri dish. (extinction) It's being implemented locally in a city or town near you, there is a reason why mitt romney used "New economy" as a buzzword. Speaking of that annoying sustainability buzzword, those people that want population reduction and that sort of thing should lead by example. The corporations that support this BS are only hurting themselves. |
