 | Windstream can afford upgrades, but AT&T can't? It seems like every ISP in the country is upgrading except the one I am stuck with. Yes AT&T... I'm calling you out! |

 | old technology VDSL2 a little late there, eh? AT&T deployed their VDSL 2 back in 2009. |

 | Guess you will have to search for alternatives or move to a new location. One of my main reasons I moved was for cheaper broadband. I am happier than ever, but now I hardly use the internet than for work and small entertainment. |

So I'm stuck until Mediacom expands their plant. |

| I like I like that windstream and others are upgrading. it may not be the fastest, but it's better speed then before. Now i understand customers are complaining about congestion / bad latency etc.. But i think things will improve, just gotta have faith right -- Fantasy football is Dungeons & Dragons for the guys who beat up kids that played D&D. |

 | I've been ordering this service for a while? I didn't realize this was news, perhaps just a larger expansion. I've had the 24/2 service on a single pair VDSL for 8+ months in Sugar Land, TX. I also had 24/2 service installed in Lincoln, NE a couple of weeks ago. I can confirm that a few of my other locations had bonded ADSL2 for the 12/2 service available.
In other news, Centurylink has 60/40Mbps bonded VDSL2+ available in Phoenix. |

Re: old technology But Windstream is offering 24/4 over VDSL2, and AT&T is stuck at 24/3
Seriously though...that's a fairly significant difference on upload speeds. And you'll probably be able to get 24/4 without subscribing to TV or phone service (well, Greenstreak is still technically a phone line, but it's a bit cheaper). |

 | Local offices often can't deliver Every time I got one of those flyers and called in, they told me I could not get that tier. They said the HQ was unaware of what technology was at the local office. |

| Love my docs is 3.0 When we looked at houses in Vegas getting one in a cox cable served area was a must and easy because we don't care to live out in the sticks. I mean seriously who the f@ck wants to live in Searchlight? It has 2 real buildings and the rest are ALL trailers discusting! That's why it's called the armpit of Nevada. I'm loving my Docsis 3.0 it's way faster than its 16/3 rating I've seen as high as 29 down and 12 up on different days and different test. |

Re: old technology Yep, like me, I feel like a redheaded stepchild island, as all the neighborhoods around us got it. Only because AT&T is cheeping out and doesn't want to run fiber a lil deeper since there is not SAI to tie into between our house and the RT, and this is in NE Columbus! Not a rural area. That's why WOW! & Insight have ate AT&T's lunch around here. |

 | reply to Smith6612 get a big U-Haul truck and back into it, might help to remind them! lol |
|
 | reply to iansltx could be that the copper they have is in better shape and higher gauge since it was rural, thus why they can push the extra meg. |

| Iowa may be first Iowa maybe first because when the network was installed by Iowa telecom back in 2000, they put in all Ethernet-based equipment And had ADSL installed by 2007 up to 15 Meg I am hoping they can do some pair bonding as my friend has the 12 Mb but it wasn't stable so they had to scale them back to 6 And with a house full of three teenagers one college student and one adult son on Xbox 6 Mb doesn't cut it |
