| Cold war??? So what's the difference between the old Soviet block countries keeping their citizens under surveillance and especially wire tapping phones and the US today??? By 2015, market research firm IDC estimates, there will be 2.7 billion users. Thus, the NSA’s need for a 1-million-square-foot data storehouse. Should the agency ever fill the Utah center with a yottabyte of information, it would be equal to about 500 quintillion (500,000,000,000,000,000,000) pages of text.

I've got some news for you, the new dictator has been doing more of the same thing as the last several dictators. Certainly there was a post 9/11 executive power grab but that mostly happened under Bush. Not that it wouldn't have happened under Clinton or Obama, it's just when the opportunity presented itself. |

I never did trust AES because of it being the official cypher of the US government. If they're encouraging general use, it means they have a way of breaking it. Use Twofish, Serpent, Rijndael, or even a some combination of them, and don't skimp on the bits. |
