Re: 2 Things Karl Censored, edited... semantics.
You may have gotten away, it all depends on which forum you posted in and who the mod was. I've seen posts get moderated for foul language. At nay rate, it just isn't necessary on the home page of a site that many see as reputable, including myself.
We can play with words all day, we can agree to disagree. Ultimately, there is a different way to say what he said with less risk of being offensive. And it would be as simple as changing one word, even just to BS. You can't disagree with that logic, it's simple common sense. |

Re: Really sad. How did he blame? He said he found other handsets with similar issues. So the iphone is not the first phone to have this problem. |

And probably for less offensive material than what was on the front page. I had a post with nothing but a quote from someone else and a smiley face in it, and it was removed, so go figure |

Re: 2 Things Karl said by Karl Bode:Apple demonstrated it on other phones. And Consumer Reports highlighted that it absolutely does not impact previous iPhone models. This is a specific design flaw in iPhone 4. You disappoint me. The title is unoriginal and unprofessional. I never claimed to be original or professional. Just honest. And this PR effort today was garbage. I mean look how disgusted Steve is with the very notion he should make amends for a company design flaw: (youtube clip) It is bullshit -- standard disclaimers apply. |

Re: there's some truth I'm actually amazed there's still an analog provider. I have a couple of 2G Analog/Digital phones and finding an analog signal is impossible. |

SeleniaI love DebianPremium join:2006-09-22 Lanesboro, MA kudos:2 | I knew of a few rural providers in Vermont, but know of nobody that has a widespread network(like the big 3 or even T-Mobile). It is quite incredible that analog still exists with these tiny providers, where the big 3 don't have you covered at all. Analog does travel distances much more gracefully than digital, given past experience with the old hybrid analog/digital phones on various networks, especially in mountainous regions. A little distortion can ruin a digital signal, in the right circumstances whereas analog will just be somewhat degraded. -- The new Sony rootkit-Using the ability to remove features you paid for. All Analog towers between Billings and Miles City were shutdown (Verizon, Alltel). |
