You are correct, and I have a BB Storm with Verizon and have those issues. I just know that ALL cellphones will drop calls at times and signal strength will show different depending upon how you position the phone .. that's common sense...... |

I tried defending or at least "offering" an opposing view/challenge to some of those denouncing Apple and AAPL stock in the Economy forum, Trading Redux thread, and just got beaten to death about both the company and stock. Its sad to see so much hate, venom, angst, towards a company AND its shareholders. |

1 edit | there's some truth If the antenna had not been put on the outside of the phone, maybe the issue would not exist. Then again, most people live in a decent coverage area and don't have the problem.
If you live in a poor coverage area, buy an analog phone. With digital, it's all or nothing.
Don't pander to Apple because you live in Timbuktoo. Get a cell phone appropriate for your location. |

| Dropped Calls I tried this with my N900, nothing.. I gripped the thing left right backwards applied pressure and nothing.. (Covered the whole phone with both and as much as i could with a single hand). For Apple to suggest this is an issue with all phones is crap.. It is a design flaw, as with the other 3 phones that they claim they could reproduce it on.. The antenna was placed in an area that is not consistent with people holding their phone. Unlike apples phone that has generated these reports of normal phone usage.. Not to mention the 1000's of other smart phones out there they pick the three they know they can reproduce some similar issue by finding a hotspot on the phone.. Very Very poor apple. o well i guess that's what happens when you have a company that doesn't know anything about phones making phones... As far as everyone asking why apple is getting the attention.. Its simple. This is a tech forum. We talk about tech stuff and when someone says they have no issue, its a software issue, hold your phone differently and then ok we may or may not have a problem, is just asking for the technical communities input.. |
