Re: Comcap said by 45612019:So does Comcap still have that 250 GB cap in place? 100 Mbps... ooh, that sounds really exciting! *hits monthly 250 GB bandwidth cap after just 5 hours of using my shiny new 100 Mbps Internet connection* welp Control yourslef. I know its tough. -- Graphic Disorder |

Also, 250gb is a lot (if you compare to what's avaible in Québec) |

1 edit | The have the 100MB plans here (I'm in Western MA), but they do not offer them publicly and often. I called up and asked... Some said yes and gave me a price quote and others said no.
I'll stick with my 12/2 for 24.95 though (nothing will make me change that, unless the upgrade is free) -- I often find it complexing that people feel that you've reached a level of maturity and responsibility if you can accept being riped off or taken advantage of for someone else's gain or enjoyment

Re: Comcap It sure would be nice if all these people using over 250 gigs a month would just shut up and get a business connection so they can get over the cap already.
It seems simple if you don't want the cap that they advertise (they're not being deceptive about it anymore) for residential, get a business connection with no cap. Problem solved.
Me and the rest of the 99% of people who don't have problems with the cap appreciate you not clogging up our nodes. |

I use NetFlix, xBox 360 Live, PlayStation, Hulu.com, Pandora, Last.fm, and download several DVD ISO's of linux and the most I have ever used was almost 100GB (think it was 70-80). |

Re: What about the Economy (1M / 384k) Tier seriously, is there going to be a $25 economy tier? or cheaper? Having only 1M service you can almost guarantee the kids won't go over the 250G cap. Given DSL prices, I would hope they would offer a little more speed or less price for this economy tier. |

 | Correction Not all non-DOCSIS 3 markets can get 16/2. The fastest tier my market offers is 8/2. No DOCSIS3 here -- not even Blast!
I am seriously doubting my market will ever be upgraded. |

Re: Correction I'm in a DS 3 market and can only get 16/2, which is actually 12/2 according to shaper probe. I'd consider buying 20/4 so I guess it is good they don't offer it here. |
