It seems fine

A 100% markup over the cost of production is a good rule of thumb for most industries, so I don't really see the issue here. Is it trying to point out that Apple isn't price gouging like they used to with some of their other products, or like many electronics firms do?

It's 200% markup actually.

consumerism

honestly, if you make enough money and want everything too be brand name or the latest in technology, why not?

My closet is filled with Ralph Lauren polos/shirts and I like to keep up in technology, yet it doesn't hurt my bank account at all, so why not?

Its just what I like.. although i don't really see the big hoopla on this new iPhone..so i wont be getting one. If it was really noteworthy, i wouldn't mind getting it.

Qualcom's $13 PMB8878 baseband chip for 3G

Qualcom's $13 PMB8878 baseband chip for 3G

How much did it cost to make this chip? Less than $1 I bet. Why don't you report on that?

A 100% markup is not bad, compared to most things we buy.

Has anyone bought bottled water?
