Why stop there? The Dalai Lama? The UN SecGen? Angelina Jolie? Madonna? Bono?
FCC commissioners are, after all, are just regulators, trying to make sense of some very old laws. |

| Corporate pandering
Another example of corporate welfare. Use Marketing numbers and BS from the incumbents to form policy. YEAH! Great idea! Whether done by republicans or democrats makes no difference. It is still ridiculous.
These guys need a good solid kick in the behind with a steel toe shoe. They are not in Washington to serve lobbyists and corporate special interests. They are there to serve us, the citizens of the United States. But no, money and avarice are more important than the needs of the people. |

| AT&T is holding its nose (bitch-slap warning)
Decisions on who is nominated at the FCC rest with the President of the United States and the U.S. Congress, AT&T in a statement two weeks ago in the wake of reports of its pushback on the nomination. As a regulated company, we strive to work well with whoever is nominated and confirmed for these important jobs.

»McDowell Gets Another Term At FCC
it sounds like business as usual so far at the "new" FCC It will all really depend on Genachowski as the new Chairman. The FCC panel of 5 is dominated by the Chairman who really sets the tone for the FCC, as was seen with Martin.
So, it MAY NOT be business as usual depending on Genachowski's agenda and guidance from the White House. -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. My Web Page |

| Turning into the CRTC
It sounds like the FCC is going to turn into Canada's CRTC. That agency is already completely owned by the industry due to industry insiders. There was some hope the FCC would be able to rise above that but it looks like the telco's will own everything north of the Mexican border. -- I support the right to keep and arm bears. |

fiberguy My views are my own. Premium join:2005-05-20 | ... the FCC is turning into the CRTC? ... same as Obama is turning into Bush.
I'm surprised Obama didn't keep Martin too. |

It's more of a mix between Clinton and Bush. |
