Great company this DSLextreme. I've had them for ten years! Wish I could afford this speed! |

We don't get the same 50Mb pricing as the east coast does and DSLx's TOS/AUP is very lax.
This may also bring pressure on other major incumbents to offer line sharing agreements. |

Yeah - I'd be getting standalone DSL-Extreme Uverse if it was offered at a decent price. AT&T likes to bundle.
Interesting seeing FiOS with 20Mbps uploads. |

| This is awesome
Since it's not FiOS direct from Verizon, no billing issues. Since it is FiOS indirect from Verizon, you get all that lovely speed. Since it's $100/month, I'd probably get the service if I lived in an area that had it. Even if said area had OOL Ultra...I 3 20 Mbps up. |

| Their package descriptions are inconsistant..
I have FIOS currently, out of curiousity to compare pricing I ran my phone/address through their system to see what I qualified for..
Below is a copy and paste, they state 50/50 in the description, but further down they show 50/20.. which is it....
Either way, I wonder if I could use them for my ISP and still use FIOS TV (I am already about to kill the phone line)

I thought that everyone who had Verizon-resold DSL eventually lost connectivity with neither Verizon or the reseller able to fix it. Must have just been me. And yet Verizon-only DSL always seems to be well maintained. |

"Perhaps its time for DSL Extreme to change their name to something a little less, oh, coppery?"
Customer's wouldn't care if it was called Spaghetti Extreme as long as they could get 50Mbps for 99$. -- »www.seabee.navy.mil |

They are far from being the "first"
www.rapidsys.com has been a reseller for at least two years on the FIOS, much longer on the DSL side |

I am still locked into my FIOS contract, so switching would give me termination fees anyway. No deal!
Still, looking at the numbers, my current FIOS package deals are better. For example I pay less for 20/5 than the DSL extreme 10/2 package. The DSLextreme offers seems to be mostly geared to "internet only" users in FIOS territory.
Anyone know what kind of router they provide? Same as Verizon? |

I do believe they are the FIRST to resell service across all Verizon FiOS areas. Rapidsys only offers service in Florida which is worthless to the rest of us. |

You are better off bundling direct from Verizon.
FiOS 20MB/5MB Internet + FiOS TV Extreme HD = $79.99 a month + set top boxes/DVR.
Extreme HD standalone starts at $57.99 + set top boxes/DVR. |
