Laptop won't read my burned CD/DVDs

Was given a HP zx5000, combo drive will read commercial cd and dvds just fine, but anything I've burned over the years it won't read, it just spins up and down. I use top quality media(Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim) and they all read on other PC's.

I've basically tried everything, even the registry hack to remove upper and lower filters, installed different software.
This is important to transfer files and programs.

Drive is a HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4080N
There are no firmware updates for this drive on HP's site.

Thanks in advance.

Dell V305 - Cartridges not moving to center

I have a Dell V305 printer and it's giving me an error that the cartridges are jammed. Problem is when I lift the center control, the cartridges are supposed to move to the center where I would remove them and install them. However, they dont move to the center and therefore I cant do anything.

What do I do?

Thanks.

Laptop won't power off

I'm having a problem with my laptop -> Acer Aspire 5670.

Specs:
Intel Core Duo T2300
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 128MB
100GB 5400 RPM SATA hard drive
Slot-Load DVD super multi drive
1GB DDR2 dual channel memory

When I shut down the laptop, the power led remains on along with the hard drive activity led coming on. The battery will drain rather fast and be completely dead in about 3 hrs (battery life when running is about 2) at which time all led's go off.

So I was having the problem with XP, I then installed Windows 7 and the problem went away for like 2 weeks at which point it started doing it sometimes, and now it is everytime.

Anyone had a similar problem or have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

Can't get into BIOS - Pentium 4

I have an older Pentium 4 and I'm trying to get it to boot off of CD-ROM but it won't.
I can't get into the BIOS for some reason either.
The computer always just boots straight into Windows XP.
It shows like an Intel Motherboard screen when you first turn it on and I try hitting F2 or F12 or DEL and it never does anything, just shows a black screen with a cursor blinking in the top left corner and then a few seconds later it shows the WinXP startup screen.

Any ideas?

Sony VCG-LS30E HD upgrade

I'd like to upgrade the HD in this machine, but can't figure out where the hard drive is, and how to get it out. I rather not tear the whole machine apart looking for it. Do you know how to replace the HD on this machine?

Samsung SyncMaster 191T Issues

I have a dual monitor setup on my system. 2 Samsung SyncMaster 191T monitors. 1 is on DVI and the other is on VGA.
The one on the DVI port will not turn on right away after turning it off. It will sit blinking the power light for like 10 or 15 min after turning it on.
I've even tried switching them around so the one that won't turn on is on the VGA cable and it still does it. Nothing I can do except wait for it.

[motherboard] newly built computer not starting

Hello, I hope one of you experts out there can help me figure out a problem with my new home-built computer. The computer turns on, but only stays on for 4 seconds, then turns off for 4 secs, turns back on for 4 secs, etc etc etc. Do not get any thing on the monitor, just keeps restarting. It is an ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard with an ANTEC 850W powersupply, and Intel Core I7 920 processor. I am thinking it is a grounding problem maybe? Any ideas or has anybody else run into this problem? I appreciate any feedback!
