Does It Snow in Cincinnati, Ohio ?

Well, i just found out this morning that i'll be attending a one week training event at the GE training facility in Cincinnati, Ohio.

http://www.gepower.com/prod_serv/serv/training/en/elc_multi_cust/training_locations.htm

It will be held the 3rd week of January 2010, so my "general question" is, do i also need to prepare myself for lots of snow and very cold weather ???

Being from beautiful, warm and sunny Southern California, i'm thinking that i may need to gear up with the heavy clothing for this trip..Heh.

I've never been to Ohio before, so please advise...thanks !

Generally, a good season

I don't care what the odds makers say about the Ohio State/Michigan games, that one can always go either way. However, the 11 1/2 point spread was accurate (at least by a 1/2 point).

Hawks had Gophers for lunch in a no-offense battle as Iowa takes Minnesota and wins the big pig trophy. Hawkeye home games are fun, wish I could have been there.

And, more important - at least for me - Ohio University took Northern Illinois in a 4th quarter nail biter that I could only hear on internet radio :D Go Bobcats!!

Sure hated to see LSU tigers go down against Ole Miss, though. I was drinking my Smithwick's which was couched in a nice purple LSU cozy, but it did little good. What was Les Miles thinking when he let the clock run down??? Gah.

Way to go TimeWarner

Well, from what I found out on the phone, TimeWarner bricked a very large number of non-DVR cable boxes in the Dayton market last night. If your cable box is in an endless hex-countdown, you are a victim and right now there is apparently nothing you can do about it. "Our engineers are trying to figure out the problem and swapping your cable box will not fix the problem."

My TWC field rep stopped by my house and offered me a deal the other day. He saw the dish and the house and checked the records. They show I am paying the "new rates" for Roadrunner and gave me basic digital cable for an additional $20 a month. He did require acurrent bill for this dish. Just an FYI.
