[Firmware] help upgrading Belkin Pre-N F5D8230-4 v2 to linksys f

I am curious how to go about successfully my Belkin Pre-N Router F5D8230-4 v2 , Firmware 2.01.02 and boot version 1.00.00 update to a Linksys firmware I first reset the router using the factory reset button, then I downloaded the US_LINKSYS_1.02.15_USA.bix firmware file from linksys. I used Hex Editor Neo to change 00-2f-08-07 in first line of the Linksys firmware to 00-2f-01-02 , then saved the file. From there I went to my Belkin router firmware update interface page and selected the Linksys firmware I edited, then clicked on update. This message appears: "Firmware update in progress.
DO NOT INTERRUPT OR UNPLUG THE ROUTER, doing so could render the Router inoperable", along with a blue update progress indicator scrolling/moving to the right. The progress indicator continues to move while LAN icon messages say connected/disconnected multiple times. Exactly 40 seconds from the time the blue indicator started moving, the page loads to "Cannot Find Server" on page http://192.168.2.1/upgrade.cgi.
I have tried this multiple times but each time I get a timeout like this with no change taking place. I have even increased my TTL network settings to no avail in hopes of prevent timeout. I really want this Linksys for more functionality and to replace this crazy belkin firmware I have. What could be the problem? Thanks

Belkin N+ Router - NAT table / Max ports / TCP-UDP Timeout

My problem has been that, about once an hour or so (on average), my internet connection randomly drops for 5-10 seconds, then picks right back up as though nothing happened. After a long while of troubleshooting the problem, I've become quite confident that the issue is the NAT table on my router. However, when looking at the Setup page for my router, I am completely unable to find where the page is to adjust the Maximum Number of Ports settings, as well as the TCP/UDP Timeouts.

If anybody else has a Belkin N+, all I need is for someone to tell me how to access and change that information. Thanks in advance!

[Hardware] Belkin N1 Internet constantly disconnects/reconnects

Hi guys. I recently replaced an older netgear router with a Belkin N1 Wireless router model number F5D8231-4. There was nothing wrong with the other router aside from a lack of range. Our signal is now stronger, however the internet now disconnects and reconnects constanly. While running AIM and Steam (a gaming program), I will see both sign off and back on. This is getting really annoying and didn't happen with the old router. Any ideas?

Belkin N+ Router: Modem + Internet Lights Flashing Orange

I recently bought a Belkin N+ router to connect to the Arris modem provided by Comcast. The modem itself is definitely connect to the internet; I have plugged the Ethernet cable directly into my computer and connected to the internet. And for a while, the connection was transferred to my router and wireless network. It worked for a few days, but then something happened and these two lights, the 'Modem' light and 'Internet' light, began to flash. Now I can no longer connect to the network, and, through the router, cannot access the internet. What gives?

I have a public wireless network in my area and they only way I can pick it up from my house is using a WET610N bridge. Now, what I want to do, is take the wireless signal, feed it through the bridge, through a router on my side that I can control to create a wireless network in my house that my laptop can connect ot wirelessly. I know that if I just purchased a switch, I can run multiple ethernet cords to the bridge and do it that way, but I want wirless for other things such as iphone etc. Can this be done. I just purchased a belkin 150n router and im looking for some advise on how to do it.

below is a map outlining what I am trying to do:

Belkin N+ Router issues

i have a one week old belkin N+ router version 2000. Firmware 2.01.06. The router itself has very good signal and seems to work well when connected. But if i manually restart the router or the power goes off....its a heck of a time getting back connected. Its a 50/50 crap shot. I might be re-connected or the modem and internet lights keep flashing amber. If so i have to re-cycle to power to the modem and router one or a few times to get back a connection. This doesn't seem normal but maybe it is? common problem for this model and brand?

another issue, by using the built in check for new firmware from within the router and downloading version 2.01.07.....it will not upgrade, gives an error msg something to the effect of incompatible hardware. I really feel like returning this back to best buy.

I have an older Trendnet N router Trendnet 632/BRP which never reboots, never restarts....stays connected forever, but the signal is not that good to spread all over the house. I also tried a brand new D-link DIR-655....also had good signal, but the wireless portion would restart by itself whenever it felt like. This according to its own logs.

I'm not having too much luck. lol What should i do?
