The post count that displays under your name and Avatar in each thread does not update "real time". It is only updated during system maintenance once a night.
The "Forum Posts" count listed on your DSLReports "My Page” is a "real time" count. You can access your "My Page" by either clicking on your user name or Avatar in any thread or by clicking "Members" and then "My Page" from the DSLReports menu on the left hand side of most pages.

Word filters are used and if one is triggered it will go for review to a Forum or site Moderator before posted.

Warning:You are about to respond to a post that is more than a MONTH old!
It may be more useful to start a new topic, and if necessary, refer to this old topic.

This should be self explanatory.
If you see this warning then start a new thread and put a link in your post back to the old one for reference.

A troll is someone who posts to simply gain attention. They will usually whine and instigate flame wars. Trolls contribute nothing useful and often make fools of themselves.

How to handle a Troll.
The way to handle a troll is:
1. Ignore Him. Please do not feed the troll, it only makes them "grow".
2. Do not vote it as a Thumbs down (feeding), but if needed, click on the Hey Mod link.
When brought to a moderators attention (Hey Mod), they can remove the offending post with little to no disruption in the conversation.

A moderator may lock threads for a number of reasons, which include:
· Threads that have wandered hopelessly off topic.
· Threads that have degraded into a "flame war" but still contain useful information.
· Threads with exceptionally useful information that should be preserved.
The decision to lock a thread is not treated lightly by moderators and the reasoning is not open for discussion.
