1.1 Availability
1. Entering your address or 2. Entering your Verizon telephone number. If you use your telephone number, the system will check for FiOS and -- absent that -- DSL availability. It also allows you to sign up for future notification of FiOS availability. Sometimes a person's phone number will say FiOS is not available. However if you put in your address and it comes up that FiOS is available but they just don't allow on line ordering at this time, call the number as displayed to order services. If you use your address, the system does not additionally check for DSL availability but does allow you to sign up for future notification. Be sure to have a valid e-mail address, as well.
by sashwa Texas overbuild areas, parts of: North Plano, 75025 Tarrant and Collin Counties (Watauga, Grapevine, Colleyville, Allen, Frisco and Keller) Regarding those with SBC, BellSouth, and other telecom service, Verizon isn't an option for any wired service (i.e. phone, DSL, or FiOS) provided to your home.
Note that in Connecticut, Verizon is only in parts of Fairfield County. Basically, Greenwich. The rest of the state is a mix of cable providers and ATT U-Verse. But U-Verse is very spotty. Connecticut really got screwed by seeing SNET sold to ATT instead of Verizon. The state is surrounded by Fios but suffers with small time cable or badly run Comcast. There is no real competition in the state.
