• When are statistics updated?
• What about credits I have before I joined the team

The Short Answer:

World Community Grid points and statistics are updated twice a day. This occurs at 00:00 and 12:00 UTC*. This includes all statistics on World Community Grid except for Team Statistics.

Team Statistics are updated once a day at 00:00 UTC.

Our stats at »www.team-discovery.net are updated from the WCG servers at around 3am.

*UTC is Universal Time. For the Eastern time zone, subtract 5 from UTC to get your time except during daylight savings time when you subtract 4. For Pacific, subtract 8, except during DST, subtract 7.

Credits/Points/Results that you produce before joining Team Discovery will always stay with you, but they do not transfer to the team results.

If you were on a different team, those credits stay with that team. If you look at your individual stats, nothing will change when you change teams.

For our team stats page for WCG, our stats site only shows the stats that you produce with our team. These stats are pulled from »www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/···XMSGSVR1 - which displays every member's points generated while on the team. While your individual credits are important, we like to celebrate the member achievements while part of the team.

Of course, the crunching and what it produces is what really matters, not who gets credit!
