·Why is AutoComplete Not Working?
·My settings/groups from AB 7.x have not carried over to 8.x, what can I
·How can I move the tabs bar to the top of the screen?
·What's the difference between full-screen and full-desktop?
·What are the additional mouse functions?
·How do I set Avant as my default browser?
·I've uninstalled Avant, but websites still see it, how do I fix this?
·How do I send a shortcut for a webpage to the desktop?
1. Make sure internet options->content->AutoComplete is activated.

2. Make sure internet options->advanced->browsing->use inline AutoComplete is activated.

Those need to be on for AutoComplete to work.

*NOTE* One way to test whether this is Avant’s fault, is to try the same thing in IE.

Close AB. Move groups.dat and abrowser.ini files from C:\Program Files\Avant Browser to C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Avant Browser.

Full desktop shows the Windows taskbar, full-screen does not. If you don't see this difference, right click on the taskbar, select Properties and then make sure Always on Top is checked and Autohide is unchecked

If you click a link in the web page with the middle mouse button, the link will be opened in a new window in the background. And there are two handy mouse gestures in Avant Browser.

The first allows you to navigate backward one step by holding the right button down and then clicking on the left button simultaneously.

The second allows you to navigate forward one step by reversing the buttons used: hold left, and click right.

Websites may still see that you're using Avant Browser because of the "user agent".

This can be fixed by going into your registry and deleting this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform\Avant Browser[avantbrowser.com]

Right-click on the page and select Create shortcut. Alternatively, find a link to the page, and drag it onto the desktop, usually directly from the address bar in the internet browser. The desktop shortcut can then be right mouse clicked and renamed to something simpler.
