In general, DSL modems are designed to run constantly and you should not need to turn them off. This is why some models do not have a power button. How do I upgrade the Firmware version of the MSN DSL 1000 modem? (#10517)
Open IE. In the address bar type '»https://signin.msn.com' After signing in with your MSN user id and password, the PC goes through a set up and configuration of the modem; updating it to the latest version firmware. To check the firmware version, you open IE again. In the address bar type '192.168.1.1'. Select Connection Status.
