3.0 Troubleshooting

One of the common causes for this is, having multiple machines in your home, and trying to access the router's page from each machine. Yes, it is possible to get to the router's access page, but during that period of time, no other system can login to the router.

So, how is this resolved? Quite simple, really. Just go to the machine that previously had the configuration page open, and there should be an option to log out on the left-hand side, click it:

That should do the trick. This should be done anytime you leave your machine, or whatever the case may be.

This is quite a common issue that arises in most of our cable ISP forums. When placing a new PC onto a new cable modem, you need to make sure you've rebooted the modem for at least 30-seconds. The cable modem remembers the last MAC Address connected to it's WAN port. Rebooting it in the 30-second period should clear out the data stored within the modem, and allow other devices to connect.

It depends. If your "PC Activity" light is blinking rapidly, then that's normal operation.

If your "Online/Receive/Send" lights are blinking, or just not on - then, there's something wrong. First thing you should check is your modem signal levels at »192.168.100.1/signal.html. You can check your signal levels here:

/faq/3412.

Afterwards, check your coaxial cables. Check your splitters, as well; make sure they are free of any crud, and the connectors are tight. Those are some basic things you should check. If the issue escalates - you might want to take a look into your local cable operators forum. Be sure to check their FAQs, too.
