Launch the game and click on the console button on the menu. This will give you a command prompt. From that prompt input "connect 209.191.132.41:27015" without the quotes. This will connect you to server #01, you can choose a server below if #01 may be full, or visa versa. Your computer should start to display some text and then connect you to the server.
 Server Name:
[BBR]Clanspace.com #01
(209.191.132.41:27015)
Server Name:
[BBR]Clanspace.com #02
(209.123.205.212:27015)

Right click your CS or HL shortcut, Choose properties, you will see several fields, The first field should be 'target' which is what we want. put your cursor at the very end of that line and enter -console make sure there is a space between -console and the original target line. It should look like this:
CS Retail version:
C:\Sierra\Counter-Strike\cstrike.exe -console
HL Mod version:
C:\Sierra\half-life\hl.exe -game cstrike -console
Once you add -console to the target line click ok, launch HL and see if the 'console' appears on the menu.

It should look like this:

Once you add -nointro to the target line click ok, launch HL and it should take you directly to the main menu. You can also enable the console which will stop the intro from playing as well, click here to enable the console.
