If it is a secondary account, you can login your primary account via Comcast's portal at »www.comcast.net and change the password.
If you lost the primary account password, you will have to call Comcast and get the right person that will reset it for you (1-800-COMCAST).

When you are traveling and not on the Comcast High-Speed Internet network, you will need to make some minor adjustments to your Outlook Express settings in order to send and receive e-mail.
To configure Outlook Express for access when traveling: •Open Outlook Express, select the Tools menu and click Accounts.
•Click the Mail tab to make it the active window. Select the Comcast account name you want to verify or reconfigure, then click the Properties.
•On the General tab, ensure that the E-mail address listed is your comcast.net address.
•On the Servers tab, enter mail.comcast.net in the Incoming Mail (POP3) field and smtp.comcast.net in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field. Click "My server requires authentication" and then click Settings.
•On the Outgoing Mail Server settings page, select Use same settings as my incoming mail server and then click OK.
•On the Advanced tab, enter 465 in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) port number field and 995 in the Incoming mail (POP3) field. For both, click This server requires authentication (SSL).
•Click OK and then Close and you will return to the main Outlook Express window. You should now be able to send and receive e-mail using Outlook Express when you are not on the Comcast High-Speed Internet network.
Note: This will also work with any POP3 compatible e-mail client, such as Thunderbird. The dialogs will be a little different, but inputting the information above in the right areas will produce the same effect.

Even if you do not use Comcast's mail servers, certain programs/trojans known as spyware/malware may use your computer to transmit unsolicited commercial messages (spam). Trying to remove these programs is often a hassle, and hard to do. There is no definite way to removing each and every one, however these steps do work for most people having problems with pop-ups/spam sending programs/other malware. If you have another tip that helps to remove these programs, IM one of the FAQ editors and we will add it in here.
Here's what you can do to remove this junk from your system: 1. Run a virus scan with your antivirus software or use a web based service like Trend Micro's Housecall virus scanner. 2. Download ad-aware from: LAVASOFT 3. Once you install it, run it's web-update feature. 4. Select a thorough system scan for your hard drive(s). 5. Let it scan through everything. 6. When it is done, right click on one of the objects found and go to select all. Then click next and confirm you want to delete it all. 7. Follow the steps in this FAQ's entry to check for any other programs that would send spam. »Security »I think my computer is infected or hijacked. What should I do? .
To be on the safe side, you may want to invest in a software firewall and configure it's settings and have it block anything suspicious. Also, for a courtesy, call Comcast's abuse department and tell them you removed the software sending spam from your computer.
