In an effort to help protect customers against unwanted junk e-mail (spam), some providers institute "Port 25 filtering."
If your provider does this (Bellsouth and Earthlink, for instance) you will not be able to send e-mail without making some adjustments.
In your e-mail software, (Outlook, Outlook Express, etc.) please change your outgoing (SMTP) mail server for all secondary accounts as instructed here: /faq/6039
This will have no impact on how your sent mail appears or on the ability of people to reply to you at your secondary email account.
Note: Another method of dealing with this is now available. DSLR Mail now also listens on Port 26, so you can try putting that into your email program setup screen and see if you can send via that port.
------ You can read an informative explanation on why ISPs block port 25 in this thread: /forum/remark,9221360~mode=flat#9225614
