The Sanyo 5300 was the first phone in the US that had an embedded camera. It is by far the best phone I've ever used. It's easy to use, and has a ton of features, there are a few faults, but they are easily forgiven.

First I'll start out with the camera. It's a small cam that's built into the front part of the flip, it's adjacent to the small LED flash. The camera takes pictures at 640x480, which barely gets the job done. The low resolution could be forgiven if it took nice pictures. I'm not saying the pictures are horrible, but more often than not they come out very blurry. When there is a lot of light it washes out the image. There is plenty of room for improvement on the camera.

The interface for the phone is easy to use, it's very similar to other Sprint phones. The display on the inside of the flip is phenomenal, it is bright, and shows a ton of colors and can be seen very well in direct sunlight. The outside display show less colors than the inside, but it does it's job very well.

The RF performance of the phone is great, just like other Sanyo phones. I've been using Sanyo phones for some time now and am always impressed with their performance. If you live on a fringe area I would highly recommend any Sanyo model.

Overall, good phone, good features, but room for improvement.
