I considered Rogers, as well as a business class wireless provider. Both of which were too costly for my needs when compared to the DSL offering.
5Mbps/800Kbps, /29 subnet, dry-loop @ roughly $53 tax in, paid for one year at a time.
I found that the service was exceptional, and that when issues did occur they were resolved quickly. When I've submit support requests they were handled by an expert, which resulted in fast issue resolution. As far as I can tell EBox doesn't have a tiered support queue.

The procedures on the web site could be more clear but I rely on dslreports.com for that. I had a few problems over the years but they were always able to find solutions for us.
I have a static ip subnet, it's fun but a bit hard to configure, I'm a computer technician and I had a bit of difficulty setting it up at first.
Other than that, compared with dealing with videotron or sympatico, they really care about their customers

Was previously using Sympatico [highspeed] for _many_ years in Montreal, but switched to Electronic Box in the past 6-7 months as my renewal contract with Bell did not include a "no-cap" provision this time as it had throughout the years. This was my _main_ reason to switch providers as the cost is otherwise competitive, but Electronic Box gave me "no-cap" deal and a static IP with their high speed internet package.
I ordered an [expensive] Thomson modem from Electronic Box....maybe I could've picked up a cheaper Speedstream on Craiglslist, and the install went alright. Had to phone ElectronicBox the first day as there weren't any "real" instructions on how to choose some settings in the modem setup, but we got it going once that was done.
Other than that, service is fine. They'll spend as much time as it's necessary to get your problems solved over the phone. No bad experiences to mention.

Well that was an easy part, the web site is not up to date, but the guy at the other end of the SMTP tunnel is! So email them and you will be served.

This was an even easier part, I've called them in the christmas time, and they managed to send me a technician on the 2th January. And on this date, when I woke up at 9:30 am the internet was up and running (my coloc answer the tech at 8 am). I don't know if there was already adsl activated on this line, but that was quick!
Connection reliability:
The connection stability is the worst point for them, but without having try any other ISP at my actual house (really old... and crappy) My judgment is not that good :S. Anyway from my experience, there is some (not regular) deconnexion. Not long, but just enough to kill your call...
Tech Support:
The tech support is present, and they are quite competent, not always motivated has we want them to be, but hey they are humans too. That why I would say that you should be resourceful to really exploit every aspect of your connexion.
Services:
Real life 300-400KB/sec + VoIP + dry line and free fix ip for 60 a month is quite a good price. They seems to be throttled by Bell but this is not their fault, and they should not be penalized for this, Bell should be!
Value for money:

General:
Their payment system has some bug, but problems are resolve when they appear. Just call them if you think there is something wrong.
I recently have a major issue with them, but finally every thing work out alright rapidly and with professionalism.
Ideas:
Maybe some ADSL2+ or 6MB\sec for everyone? IPv6 ?

Ebox was the best move i have ever done. I signed up for adsl with static IP about 6 months ago. They have been very transparent with me on everything. For the very few times i have to deal with ISP's support they have been more than professionnal. Moving from HELL (err: bell) to ebox was done in around 3 business days. I recommended ebox to my friends and all i hear is good things. This is a fair review for an isp that always go out of his way to help. Thank you !

I'm a computer consultant and I use ElectronicBox in some setups for my clients. So my experience comes from more than one ADSL line and feedbacks from "normal business people" who are in touch with the ISP.
They are satisfied with the service, and I get less complain than from Bell and Videotron for about the same services. They also like paying less than big ISP even if Ebox is not the cheapest. Business users dig the "price/value" option more than only "price".
On the technical side, network is reliable and if I have any questions that would break level 1 of most ISPs, I always got an advanced and insighful answer from the first line tech support. This help me a lot in my work.

Changed over from SYMPATICO to ELECTRONICBOX due to very poor customer service. The service I now have is excellent. If they do not have the answers they get them.....
