"HIGH bandwidth, Good service, Canadian Call centre, Value, contract-free"
"Had some disconnection issues before but they were solved, Affiliated with Bell"
"BEST ISP in Canada but the duo of Bell and CRTC ultimately is the source of headaches for the user"

I currently have 3 locations that is serviced by teksavvy and they have yet to fail me. My connection hasn't been flawless and there were disconnection problems with my line. However, the best part about the teksavvy experience would be their support. Everytime you call into their centre, you will be connecting and speaking with a fellow human being. Not an automated system, not a robot but a real live human being. Their tech support is knowledgeable from the second you speak to them and will solve 99% of your problems. I haven't spent more than 15 minutes on the line solving a problem with them.
The second main attraction of teksavvy would be their value. 5mb and a 200Gb bandwidth cap for $30. No other ISP in canada can offer you such a service. Especially not Bell and Rogers. So if you're into any downloading at all, then teksavvy is the right isp for you. I have a peace of mind knowing that extra tv episode won't cost me an extra $10 on my next bill. Even if i do go over, it's $0.25/Gb. Not much at all.
The ultimate weak point in the teksavvy service is their affiliation with BELL. Bell is a terrible ISP and score even worse in terms of ethics. They're greedy, uncompetitive and evil. The throttling and the UBB fiasco are causing havoc for indy isps. Bell will continue to screw indy ISPs over and unfortunately, will continue to lower the quality of service provided by indy ISPs, which includes teksavvy.
If Teksavvy had more control of their networks without the influence of bell, they would be "perfect"

I previously had TekSavvy, but when I moved, had to switch providers... I have TS once again, and couldn't be happier. While the service itself is good, it's the support that makes TS excell - from a personal message from the CEO, to the quick and CORRECT information provided by the front line staff, there's a reason TekSavvy is one of the most popular ISP's in Canada.

TekSavvy is revered for their excellent service record. I cannot really add to what has been already mentioned. The service is excellent and the price is actually competitive (in a Canadian market too!).
Consider this: - Speed up to 5mbit; - Monthly price $29.99; - MLPPP with Static IP and NNTP $4.00 extra; - Canadian service; and - Excellent 24/7 Technical support.
Keep up the good work.

Been with TSI for over 2 years now.
My costs are higher than most, I have two Premium lines, one dry loop, static IP and /29 subnet. Considering all that is in the $84 it's a steal. No other ISP offers this kind of service. Customer Service has always been there within minutes when I've called, and my issues have been answered by English speaking representatives who are Canadian citizens employed in Canada. A big point for me. I wish there was some way to rate their Tech Support higher than 5 to stress how awesome it is, especially for the technically inclined internet user. It's a pleasure speaking to people who know what your talking about and not reading off a sheet saying "have you tried restarting your computer have you tried restarting your modem" etc. I wish Bell wasn't evil and the CRTC didn't have their heads up their asses and Bell's so that this fine example of a Canadian company could continue to move forward as the example of what a Canadian ISP should be.

Capping, download throttles, all these cash grab schemes, you honestly have an option with teksavvy as they seem to be your real representative for these issues.

I live 2.5km away from the downtown core of Toronto. My previous ISP was Uniserve, which bought out ca.inter.net a few years ago. They told me multiple times that I was too far away from the central office and could not give me full 5mbps bandwidth. My maximum real download speed from them was 1.4mbps.
Fed up with constant outages and the slow speeds, I canceled on August 6th and went over to TekSavvy on August 10th. The results were AMAZING. My maximum real download speed tripled to 4.2mbps. I concluded that Uniserve was never interested in trying to give me the best possible service.
For the same price as Uniserve, I got triple the speed and increased my bandwidth cap from 75GB to 200GB. Ping times have improved greatly, and there have been no hiccups in the connection. TekSavvy is the best!
I didn't give ratings to installation and services because I already had a DSL modem and knew how to set up everything myself.

I ordered the 5 meg DSL service but MaBell put 4 meg card in back when I ordered 6meg from igs.net (maybe they didn't have a 5 meg card on hand?) Its only been a week of TekSavvy DSL And a holiday week, So I'll just wait and see if Bell puts the 5 meg card in.
The order was problem free, they didn't give any BS of "you need our modem and need to rent it" like other providers. Install was as easy as changing the username and password, Then I seen the speed go from 234Kbs (igs.net everyday after 5pm) to 4 meg instantly. I recived static IP PPPoE and a full set of subnet IP's /24 to do with what I need with no problems.
I had no phone hold time, If one Tech does not no the answer to a question they will promptly ask someone who does. The Tech I spoke with was very friendly.
I just cant wait to try the viop.
Now only if igs.net would respond to my cancel email's and tell me where to send there stuff back so I can stop paying rent on there modem and there connection charges.
Update; all is still well I have new phone and a new dsl with teksavvy and still no problems.

Their Home Phone service is great, and they got a tech out asap when it wasn't working well.
Even when there came time for a potential price increase, the matter was put up for debate in the forum. End result.... $1 less of an increase($4) AND they're throwing in a static IP & NNTP binary access
They're proactive in notifying users of outages. They make videos of work being done in the DC. No other ISP in the world is this democratic, honest and transparent. No other ISP will fight for your right to an open, fast connection to the internet. Theirs should be the model all other private companies follow.
