Emailed them several times, have not responded. Customer support is quite slow, on hold most of the time. Took them more than a month to change me from a 384 kbps to what I had subscribe to a 512 kbps connection.
Crappy modem came with the plan. Allways disconnects whenever it feels like it.
But it is still good.

ive been using streamyx since wat.. 2001 i think.. since that first 5000 customers promo waaay back.. and im a really satisfied customer i guess.. yeah there are bad times.. line quality drops when theres heavy rain.. sometimes can connect but all also ping timeout.. lately the line seems unstable... modem keeps on restepping.. probably due to this nationwide upgrade they're doing.. well.. i love it so much that i subscribed a second line for my rumah sewa in college.. LoL.. its worth it if ur a heavy user like me.. im getting pretty decent speed in my primary account here in subang jaya.. and rather slow speeds in my other account in melaka.. hopefully it'll improve after dis.. got room for improvement i think.. esp the way they're throwing away money for promo instead of improving service... to Tmnet : give us good service and we'll spread the word.. lol.. i already convinced more than 5 frens to subscribe... if all your current subscibers are satisfied and ask 5 more ppl to join? better than all those adverts wat.. !!

Since I've been here in Malaysia, I see this is worse than USA when it comes to monopoly with telephony/internet services.
I don't mind paying less than what I paid for dial up in USA & get alot faster speed.
Tech support is lacking in knowledge. They need an SOP (standard operating procedure) to go by. All these guys know is how to tell you it's on your side & not Streamyx's end.
Forget it when they make a report & suppose to get back with you.....I waited almost a week once & I called them back & told them how bad they stink in servicing their customers.
Overall you get what you pay for & from where I come from less than 20 USD for High Speed Internet is nothing to whine about.
Oh I'm from Wakaf Bharu, Kelantan Malaysia Not Pennsylvania....had this account before I come to malaysia sorry.

Well, the speed is good, the price is good.
I'm still very satisfied with the service. No complains at all. It's just that, need to be careful during rainy and thunderstorm season to avoid the modem being fried 
Wooho, no more torrent downloaders, faster speed for me to do my works.

Before i get this result i got to try and error in some Hkey tings.. Finally this is the result.. But i'm not really happy cause it seem 16% decrease from what they advertise.. I hope someone can help me for more..

order/install was fast - 2 days viz clickers - self install.
no formal setup faq / technical guide available on website.
support staff needs to be more technically oriented.
needs to reduce turn around time for problem resolution.
basic packages are strategically priced to stimulate broadband penetration.

I have applied 3 stramyx account for my home / business. Days from order to success can be as long as 1 year. They said no port available.
Monopoly - The only provider in most area of Malaysia.
Line very unstable - Technical support dun answer call for 15 minutes. You can try and see. You leave a voice mail and no one will call you back. Sometimes will push responsibility by asking you to call other number and give unreasonable excuses like dun have your record in their server. I apply from that local branch but still tell me no record in their server even I have been using their service for 1 year. This happen a few times.
Forced to use their service coz 56K modem even worse than you can think of. How about disconnected every 5 minutes in some area? Used to be a very good 56k line 10 years ago where I can get 8k/s. Now? 2 or 3k average + disconnection.

Much better than dial-up. Connection was good+stable 80+% of the advertised speed.

offers unreliable connection, most of the time connection speed very slow, sometimes can be about 50kbps instead of 384kbps promised, this situation can continue for weeks....filed several reports but no technician did any follow-up as promised. I expect it to be easily beaten down by any future competitor.
