Business account: Speed was 1mb up/down for 10 GB per month @ $50. Be aware that both your uploads and downloads are incuded in the per month limit. This also means you are paying for all the worms that hit your firewall/router.

Install process was excellent, Digis outsources the installations to local tech guys who seem to know what they are doing. All the external wires were well hidden and firmly attached.

Purchased refurbished equipment ($275) to save on the insanely expensive new equipment fees. Competitor in my area provides equipment and maintenance for free. Equpiment was a parabolic WIFI attenna that you can buy from freeman bird for $105 + amp cost, would make a new one approximately $150? Minor issue, they password the bridge equipment, but won't give you the password. Likely to protect their WEP/WPA keys from being discovered. Howerver, this is really annoying when you are trying to figure out why your service is down for the hundreth time. So frequent I had to set up a box that did nothing but ping Digis and the bridge's IP

Had the service for three months, never had more than two weeks of uninterrupted service. Service interruptions were frequent and lasted multiple days. Sales contact never worked with me again after initial startup, always refered me to the single guy for all escalation.

Tech support calls seem to be handled by contract staff, they can't put you in contact with anyone with decision making authority. Won't give out owner's name. All escalations go to one person, who takes 24-48 hours to call you. Same person handles all billing problems. Frequently had to call 3-5 times to get each issue resolved. Never a dispute by Digis on how, or if there is a need to resolve a problem, but then nothing happens.

The final straw was when they upgraded their access point and broke my service for two weeks (I'm on the road frequently, so it was the wife who had to deal with the service disruption). Still can't believe any ISP thinks it's acceptable to make their equipment incompatible with their existing customers, and just wait for the complaints to roll in. Even better, if you don't pay their service warranty fee, you get billed again to upgrade the bridge firmware to fix the problem they caused.

I've since switched to a competitor for the last two months, zero disruptions, no caps, blah blah blah much happier now.

Updates: The competitor I was referring to at the time was Airwired. I used them for 6 months without complaint. Only one service interrruption for 24 hours, caused by yet another ISP installing equipment on the same mountain, but too close to their assigned frequency. I assume they are still doing business in the area.

Because Comcast finally came into my neighborhood I've switched yet again. None of the wireless ISPs that I could find could compete on bandwith.

I live in Springville Utah and recently signed up for Digis "high speed"
internet service.

My wife was home alone on the day they came to install the dish and because
I took the checkbook with me, she was treated like a criminal by both the
service person and whomever he had to call to get the ok to install it
without a check.

I am an IT director, so uptime and network performance are traits I always
track. For the first weekend I noticed the Digis service was dropping 45% of
the packets. I e-mailed tech support 5 times, no reply.

After a week of 20-60% packet loss I decided to CC a sales person on my
support e-mail. The next day I got a prompt response. The issue was resolved
two days later.

My bandwidth was slightly more than a standard dial-up provider, so I
e-mailed support about this. I then discovered that my connection to the
dish was limited to 10mb rather than the standard 100mb. I also asked about
this, I never heard back so I cancelled and got Comcast.

100% unsatisfied with their service.

Digis is amazing. It's perfect for my family and our internet use. At first I complained to them about the speed I was getting. They helped me figure everything out, customer service was so helpful. My speeds were not great due to MY personal equipment that was damaged. They helped me figure everything out even though the problem was my equipment.

Thanks Digis

  • "NOTHING"
  • "Terrible customer service, too many service disruptions."
  • "They are a JOKE."

Do NOT sign up with this company.... keep on looking. Comcast is top choice for me. Once they offer their services to my area I will return as their customer! Digis service cuts in and out way too much, their billing department is an absolute circus. They will not mail hardcopy statements they only send them via email and if you have a billing issue (sure to happen because they are disorganized) they will get back to you in "two - three days" what a JOKE!

The high speed internet company Digis has changed my life. Because of
it's high speed I now can explore music and the web almost instantly
and has speeded up my web related office processes by the same measure.
I have had it 6 months now and would not go back to dial up. Digis has
a hands on team that really do return phone calls and answer questions
and concerns better than any internet company I've ever dealt with.

  • "Hmm.. Can't think of one."
  • "High equipment fee, very very poor speeds and horrible service... and 3gb xfer limit.. what a joke!"
  • "Run away, they have horrible customer service and very poor network performance"

Sure you can pay more for 10gb.. but who wants to pay $50 for 1meg up and 1 meg down? Sure you can pay even more for 3mb down and 1meg up.. but why waste your money on a crappy network? If i could go for 10 minutes with out lag spikes then it might be tolerable...

I have nothing good to say about digis.. the support was horrible, it sounds like its one of those dime a dozen call centers that support 30 different isp's. The 2nd level wasn't bad but that doesn't make up for the front line..

My speeds were never consistent.. not until about 25 days into my service and multiple complaints to their support line did they come out and point me to a different access point.. to which service was only a little better.

Good Ridance!

  • "Up-front hardware and installation costs"
  • "Great value - very happy with the service"

Digis installed the hardware and had me online 2 days after I called them. The installer was very professional, friendly, and did a first-rate job on installing the hardware. I've had the service for about 1 month, and am very happy. Upload and download speeds are consistently around 1MB, and I've never had an outage.

I only used their customer service once (to add a MAC address to their security tables). There was no wait time before they answered, and they made the addition immediately.

I moved to Digis from Comcast because of Comcast's high rates, and I have no regrets. I just wish Digis would reduce their $399 up-front hardware and installation costs a bit.

I have just set this service up and it working great. Speed is 900k both ways and this ping times using the dr. ping are within 100 ms. I also did the line test and that came out great.

My neighboor has this same service for over a year, pointing to the same tower, but his goes out all the time and he has very high ping times. Asked the installer about it and he saw that my neighboor had older hardware that is nort very good.

I am playing games (UT2004) and voip and they both work great.

I have had comcast and becuse of my move, I only could get this service. I like comcast, but this is still very good. Becuse it is cheaper monthly the break even is around 2 years. They do not always know if you can get service, the maps are not up to date. Have them come out and check.
