We've been using Earthwave SDSL 1.1Mb for about 1 year. The performance

and reliability of the line has been excellent. The installation went
very smoothly as well. Their support team is responsive although we've

rarely needed additional assistance. Overall, you get a feeling that
    they
actually care if you are happy with the connection and the service.

I was on broadband reports and saw that Earthwave can service my area.
I called into their so called sales department to be greeted by a non professional sales member. I had one question for them.

I qualify for their 6MB/768K service and wanted to know if the equipment they supply is a router or a bridge. Well, I had to go through the whole process that I had just done on their site to tell me that I quailify for their 6/687 service. Ummm, I already knew that since I was calling in. Now to my question. Does the equipment act as a router or a bridge. WOW was that way over her head. and I quote "I I I I um um I dont know what that is. Sir can I sign you up for our service."

So she takes my name down and it takes another 2 minutes for her to realize that my last name starts with a D and not a T "D like david, or dog, dragon," I was then asked to speak a little louder, mean while my wife is yelling for me not to talk so loud.

So finally, I am told that I can call their support center. BTW NO toll free #. WTF is that. She then proceeds to ask me if she can call me back. I told her, please DO NOT.

I was very impressed with their pricing. Well I guess I will stay with my over priced ISP out of Seattle.

Is this place runout of a basement or something. You just lost my business and trust me, word of mouth travels far. You might as well pack up and leave PA.

I highly recommend signing up online, rather than by phone. They will not bill your company, the monthly charges must be to a credit card, and they don't take Discover. Poor customer service via phone.

After all the DSL horror stories I've read while I was a fairly happy
Internet customer, I was apprehensive about DSL. I finally decided to
make the leap after being persuaded by my more tech savy friends who
said I was at a good distance to get DSL. Earthwave has proved that
DSL can be even better than cable. My line was activated even before
my DSL modem arrived, and my self-installation experience was
uneventful due to good instructions. Earthwave said they do not
guarantee speeds, but that I'd have 25 days to try it out and if I
wanted to cancel they would provide a full refund. Its been about two
months and I have not had a glitch yet. I didn't qualify for the 6Mb
service but I've got the 3Mb and it is all that I need. Tech support
is sometimes great, sometimes mediocre, but speed and service are
consistent. Overall I'd give them an 9 out of 10.

This company rocks. I got the 6Mb/768K connection and I'm getting close to 5Mb download consistantly. They provide a 6Mb Covad connection for less than Covad charges for the 3Mb. I got 5 usable static IPs for$5/month extra and I've got my server going with reverse DNS with nosweat. Thank you Monty for helping you are awesome. Cheers.

Ps: Sales still need help... Hat off to support.

I dropped Earthlink for Earthwave. Earthlink would not upgrade my DSL service... so I found an even faster connection offered by Earthwave. The folks at Earthwave were very helpful in the ISP swap.

They have been very responsive to all my phone calls and questions.

I ordered the 6.0 Mb /768 Kbps. So far I getting speeds at 4.5+. I still have some tweaking to do... I'll repost if I get better speeds. 4.5 is much faster than anything offered by my old ISP (was at 1.5 and they would not upgrade me to 3.0). Got a static IP too!

The only drawback is that I had to set up an SMTP server on my own box because they do not include email addresses with the service I purchased. This, however, was only a minor set back. Others may choose to just use their Yahoo! address.

Covad sent me a Broadxent 8120 router/modem, but I was able to use my existing equipment and setup. (NOTE: the Broadxent 8120 does not work with SIP phones... you will have to use bridge mode or other equipement. This is a COVAD issue, not an Earthwave problem.)

I can highly recommend Earthwave. I chose them because of speed and good reviews on DSLreports. So far, I'm very happy with my connection and their service. No more being tossed around in phone menu hell by Earthlink! I get someone on the phone with whom I have talked to before.

    All,

Have seen glowing reviews of Earthwave - would like to know what
company you are dealing with?! The company I am dealing with has a very
very POOR customer service response. Have tried to order their service
in Alexandria, VA with no success. Request to talk to managers have
been met with the phone being hung up without response. Emails are not
answered nor is the telephone. Constant routing to voice mail. Have
talked to Adnan Ashraf and someone called Dillon. Neither was
    responsive to our needs.

If someone has a good contact number for this business, please
advise. The number on their web site is NOT RESPONSIVE.

EarthWave proves that customer service really does make / break a company. We have a upscale, high-rise condominium in Alexandria, Virginia. EarthWave left fliers in our building letting us know that our building management had approved them for DSL service. We were on dial-up and have experience with Earthlink DSL at another location. We were also considering Comcast since we already have their digital cable service.

EarthWave’s representative (Adnan Ashraf) has been a delight to work with. They promptly determined our needs and met them at a reasonable price. Their on-line speed is faster than any of the providers with whom we had previously negotiated.

We got prompt and courteous service from Adnan and he treated me like a real person, not like a number (as Earthlink sometimes seemed to). He also managed all the details of the installation and ordering process. I never once had to deal with Covad or Verizon.

So far, I haven't had any major problems. We did have one small hiccup with MS Entourage not being able to send mail and that was quickly identified by EarthWave and fixed by us as a SMTP parameter modification. The wiring in our condominium building is from the 70’s and yet our modem still manages to sync 24/7. I plan on telling all my associates and friends who are not on EarthWave DSL to make the switch.

Earthwave proves that customer service really does make / break a company. After signing up for Covad's so-so 4000/768 service for $99, I checked broadbandreports.com and found Earthwave. At first it seemed too good to be true, but here was 6000/768 from the SAME CLEC for $20 cheaper.

I quickly dropped my Covad service and signed up for Earthwave. The only reason it took two weeks to get Earthwave service connected was because I had to wait on Covad to disconnect the 4mbs service before Earthwave could reconnect my 6mbs service. I got prompt and courteous service from a sales rep that I knew by name and treated me like a real person, not like a number (as Covad sometimes seemed to). He also managed all the details of the installation and ordering process. I never once had to deal with Covad or Verizon.

So far, I haven't had any major problems. The wiring in my apartment building is about 40 years old and yet my modem still manages to sync at 5.5mbs / 768kps. Dylan Tullberg, my Earthwave rep, personally responds to every inquiry I make, and even LOWERED my bill when they ran a new promotion shortly after I signed up.

I plan on telling all my friends who are considering making the switch from cable to dsl about Earthwave!

After months of frustration with Comcast cable, I decided last week to shop around for a better ISP. Started looking at various 6000/768 options in the DC/MD area and Earthwave seemed the best deal in town. Signed up throught he web site and have been kept up to date on the setup process through daily email from Covad. I received the install kit yesterday (5 days after signing up), was connected 15 minutes later (very easy to setup) and now enjoy extreme DSL speed.

    Highly recommended.
