    January 20, 2007 Updates: Summary -

In the past year and more, connectivity has been very good, with only few and far between total losses of service . Slow downs are more frequent than total losses, but do not occur that often.

Email remains the weakest part of the service, with transit times within Adelphia varying widely, and way too often apparently taking far more than a few seconds. Last I checked, there still was no fail-safe UCE Filtered Mail Box to prevent the loss of Filtered messages.

This update excludes the past two weeks, during which the CABLE TV component has been transitioning fully to Comcast, and which time interruptions were much more frequent.
    -----------------------------------------

    December 13, 2004 Updates: SUMMARY -
At this point, here, once again, one can still _NOT_ rely on Adelphia for _connectivity_ (compounded by the still occurring lack of notice ( »Adelphia Outage: WPB-Boca and »Shouldn't Scheduled Maintenance be Announced? ), and so the rating in this category (along with the rating for "Value for money") which was first lowered from 6 to 2 in the May 19, 2004 Update, remains the same. Again, as was said in that Update, hopefully this will not be the case for much longer. ******

Disruptions of less than one hour are not included here, nor are Extreme Weather incidents, unless there are other factors involved.

    ** December 07, 2004 ** SERVICE LOSS:
No HSI Service - 6.5 hours
No POP Email Service - at least 7.25 hours (it is possible that it was working at times during the loss of HSI service).

Note: No Notice Web Mail "upgrades" were apparently undertaken during this time.

Call Center: 1st Announcement- Loose quote: "We are currently experiencing a service interruption in your area, and are technicians are working to restore service...." Later, a CS rep said trouble started around midnight, was a fiber repair with an ETR of 6 hours. Did not know if it was a scheduled repair (could have been a follow-up from the fire that took out the pole two days before).

»[Connectivity] Boca Raton, FL Down Again 6 Hr ETR

September -20, 2004 Service out Sunday night around 11p through early Tuesday 9/21 morning -prior to10a. Fire burnt Pole at SR7 and in Boynton, knocking out 200K Adelphia (and other) Cable/HSI users. Service not restored until aprx THIRTY HOURS later (for HSI). These continual disruptions are the direct result of Adelphia's failure to build redundancy into this system! One pole down should not jeopardize an entire region!

**September 04, 2004** During the approach of Hurricane Francis, HSI was lost PRIOR to losing power. Power was lost at 10:50a, and not restored until Tuesday, Sept. 7 at approximately 5:10p. HSI was available shortly after powering up. It _may_ have been available earlier, but there was no way to know with out power. A hearty thank-you to all the law enforcement, Adelphia, FPL, SB, and myriad of folks who worked round the clock for weeks to restore the areas/regions affected by this serious of Extreme Weather!

NOTE: A probable Adelphia employee who regularly posts in the Adelphia Forum at DSL/Broadband posted there-in that Adelphia shut down service PRIOR to the storm so as to save money and be able to restore it more quickly. If this was true, then Adelphia, with no Notice to it's customers, purposefully shut down an important communications link through which tens of thousands of people were relying at a potentially dangerous and/or deadly time. There may well be situations were shutting down such a link pro-actively is (or is perceived to be) the better course, but to do so with NO NOTICE seems to me to be astoundingly and grossly negligent. NOTE: This in no way is to suggest that Adelphia employees should ever be subjected to extreme weather conditions. And then, to further compound this, in the aftermath of the storms, Adelphia ran huge newspaper ads (some at least 1/2 page) touting their connectivity over that of DSL in these very same emergency situations.

**August 30, 2004 ** Outage for between 1 Hour 20 mains to 3.5 Hours. Outage first occurred between 3:30p-5:20p (unobserved when outage first occurred). Call center system requested Home phone. When given Announcement stated in loose quote: 'Major Outage in Your Area Boca Raton and surround areas. Working to fix. No need to stay on the line.' Went further through the menu, and at HIS Tech Help, Announcement in loose quote: 'Technical Difficulties in your area, and are working towards a resolution.'

** August 12, 2004 ** Update: No service for FOUR consecutive hours starting around 9:20am. Call center Announcement stated: Attention Adelphia customers calling in from Boca Raton, Delay and surround communities. Due to a outage effecting this area, you will be unable to connect to the Internet. There is no need to remain on the line.

NO CAUSE, NO ETR given, nor was announcement updated as the disruption continued. CS rep thought storms were the cause, though at this time, this area was NOT impacted.

**July 23, 2004 ** Update: No Service for one hour (9:15-10:16a) *** Call center Announcement stated: Attention Adelphia Florida Due to an Outage effecting that area, customers will not be able to connect to the Internet ... we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause while we work to restore your service.

**June 28, 2004** Update: No service for 2 hours and 40 minutes*** Call center Announcement stated: Florida customers, due to an outage effecting all of Florida, customers will be unable to connect to the Internet... Working to fix as soon as possible.

**June 13, 2004 ** Update: No service for over 6 consecutive hours ** Call center Announcement and Level 1 CS stated "Network Issue effecting" most of SE Florida.

** May 19, 2004 ** Updated: Two very recent apparently "planned" 8-12 hour interruptions for "Upgrades" were again compounded by the failure to provide notice ( »Adelphia Outage: WPB-Boca ). Are upgrades a good thing? They sure should be, but:

At this point, here, once again, one can _NOT_ rely on Adelphia for _connectivity_ (compounded by the still occurring lack of notice ( »Adelphia Outage: WPB-Boca and »Shouldn't Scheduled Maintenance be Announced? ), and so the rating in this category (along with the rating for "Value for money") has been lowered from 6 to 2. Hopefully this will not be the case for much longer. ******

    SUMMARY:
Overall, Adelphia started "Poor". The huge increase in speed (over dial-up) was so enticing, so we tried to put up with the poor connectivity, regular modem/system rebooting cycles, and the useless email. This also necessitated the expense of retaining both the second phone line and the dial-up account. The good news is that it's has been getting better! Presently it is "OK", and is approaching "Good".

    INSTALLATION:

It was less than one week from finalizing the order, to installation and broadband connectivity. The install was smooth.

    SPEED:

Speed Tests, for what ever they are worth, indicate an approximate average of 1700/136 kbps during the past three months. The new higher "promised" speeds of 3000/250 have not yet to materialize here, but sure are eagerly awaited! My gaming days are over, and I can not report on latency.

    CONNECTIVITY:

For many months after first getting service, connectivity would be lost quite often (average of a few times per week), followed by the power-down/power-up cycle, often under the guidance of Support.

Connectivity has been, overall, _very_ reliable, since roll-out by a knowledgeable AND _helpful_ tech, who:

    1) Replaced the modem (as per my polite insistence).

    2) Corrected some splitter/wire issues apparently not detected in the past.

This tech also corrected the misinformation given by _every_ person at Adelphia, and there were many, that had dealt with this issue, up to that point:

    - the machine did NOT have to be rebooted when re-starting the modem, and

    - the modem did not have to be powered down for 4 or more minutes (30 seconds was sufficient).

This saves a minimum of 5-10 minutes of lost time for "resets". Sure would have been helpful earlier!

Since these defects were corrected, there have been at least five interruptions of service lasting for many hours. In three cases, Adelphia stated the cause as being a fiber-cut, and restoration depended on Florida Power & Light in two of those cases. Such accidents do occur, and Adelphia should not be blamed for the actual interruption occurrences (see Customer Service).

    EMAIL:

    »Spam & Adelphia

    »How is Adelphia's e-mail service?

Mail has improved over the past years from being so pathetically unreliable as to be useless (a few Adelphia support people stated that reliable email service was simply not of any importance to Adelphia's management) to presently being ok.

Since the massive email upgrade, things have certainly improved, but Adelphia's email still has problems (outages, slow movement...) far in excess of my other services, and getting timely substantive answers to enable alternative actions, is still rare.

In the fight against Spewage, Adelphia's email has two serious shortcomings:

    1) If you utilize their filtering, you can not see what is being trapped. Didn't get a message? Perhaps it was filtered. Perhaps you are aware of this, perhaps you are not. Adelphia's half-baked solution to this is for you to email them a copy of the message that you did not get..... There is no fail-safe, nor individual efficient "learning" ability, other than forwarding as above, if you are lucky enough to know what you did not get, and forwarding Spewage that you do receive to supposedly be incorporated in filter updates. Such timely forwarding of received Spewage seemed to have no effect on the Filters, as Spewage with identical "markers" continues to be received. This is not to say that there is no filtering going on, just that the user seems to have zero effective control over it.

    2) The web site has no provision that I can find for viewing email as text only, and so reading an email there-in risks the continuation, and even exponential increase in Spewage received, should the email contain very prevalent "account confirmation" crap, like web-bug/beacons, and they do!

Adelphia does not make it easy to forward offending spewage that is not filtered. There is no provision to forward by selecting the message in the Inbox and choosing a "Forward TO" or "Report As Spam" option. This system forces you to open the message in non-protected graphic format in order to forward it to any account.

So, it you want to simply maintain your present increasing level of received Spewage, let alone help fight it, you best not use the Adelphia's Web mail to do anything.

There is no excuse for these failures to have both a Filtered Mail Folder Option, and Display in Text-Only Option, which is, in my opinion, is at best, irresponsible and negligent.

    PRESENT STATUS

With the above improvements in connectivity and email, there was enough confidence after a few month test period to have dropped the second phone line, and almost sufficient confidence to cancel the long time dial-up account, but not quite yet.

****Please See above Notes of May 19, 2004, et. al. *****

    CUSTOMER SERVICE:

This also seems to be improving, though since the corrective actions listed above were taken, thankfully, there has been far less need to contact Support, and so there is less to base judgment of this important area on.

    Serious weaknesses remain -

There still seems to be a serious communication problem in the organization. This definitely applies to information being available to the customer, and if one is to believe Customer Service, they (Service) still must operate often lacking proper information, especially concerning service interruptions, and roll-outs of changes in pricing and services.

While service interruptions are never welcome, and need to be reduced to almost zero, they probably will always occur. Given that probability, basic respect for the customer (and of the employees) requires the consistent provision of the basic customer service of timely, truthful, substantively informative status information easily and quickly available via both phone and web. This has been provided by other service providers since at least the mid 1990's. Obviously, this could be mostly automated, and if properly implemented, would take much of that load off of Customer Service representatives.

    COST:

    The latest statement lists:
    "Ultimate Advantage" plan $62.65
    (includes 'Discounted''
    PowerLink @ $21.73 )
    One Digital TV receiver $3.50
    PL Modem $5.00
    Taxes & Fees $6.85
    ________
    $78.00

PowerLink, by itself, was, around $45. With "discounts" for Home Owners Associations, and Packages, it's not easy to know how much any component really "costs". The cost of a second phone line and dial-up account is slightly more than $45.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nothing is to imply that overall, Adelphia employee's are anything but hard working folks who try to do their job well, and improve the service as best as they can, under the circumstances in which they must operate.

I have complained about connection problems since November and have yet to get an answer.
If I had another choice, I would switch TODAY!

Powhatan county had been stuck with dialup and ISDN (at over $100 a month for the line) up until last year. Finally, Verizon announced that they were rolling out DSL here. The only problem was that apparently they are not installing the switches in any remote terminals, so if you are more than three miles from the CO you're out of luck for DSL if you have a 598 prefix. They did put the switches in the remote terminals that had Midlothian exchanges.

Fortunately for me and my neighbors, Adelphia upgraded their system here and rolled out cable this summer. We were building a new house on our property and at some point while we were gone HSI became available. As soon as we had a firm date to move in, I ordered it.

The technician was scheduled to be here between 2:00-4:30 pm. He was an hour late, but that wasn't really a problem since I had to wait on some other service providers. He was very friendly and helpful, and had me up and running in just under two hours.

So far I am very pleased with the service, and it makes the 1500k wireless system I used in the motel look very slow. I have two other computers set up with a Netgear wireless router, and everything is running smoothly.

The only real gripe I have so far is the confusing account management.

    Update 12-25-2006:

Outside of a few outages, the service had been reliable up until Friday Dec 22. Apparently there were some issues with the Comcast migration which finally were resolved today. Speed now is 12000/384. If there are no further issues I will be very happy.

Comcast customer service leaves quite a bit to be desired. When called about the problem I was told the network was fine and it must be my computer or equipment. Guess they think customers don't know how to plug the modem into a stand alone computer and bypass other equipment.

    My Other Reviews·RoadRunner Cable
I've had this service for a few weeks. It is always there and reliable, compared to what I had with Direcway--- weather outages. Speeds are 2-3 times that of Direcway for downloads, and 5 times that for uploads. I never expected any kind of broadband on my road, but Adelphia provided! THANKS!

    Adelphia:
    2675 / 231
Your download speed : 2740056 bps, or 2675 kbps.
    A 334.4 KB/sec transfer rate.

    Update March 12, 2005

I am still VERY pleased with the service from Adelphia. Service has been stable, with very few momentary outages. Any troubles I've had, Adelphia tech has been prompt to come repair things.
The only problem I have is with the PRICE of the TV packages. Once the promo pricing ended, my bill doubled and I was ready to cancel some packages. But a phone call to Customer Service managed to get a better price.... for now.
Adelphia has recently upgraded speeds on the internet, which is nice.

    ********************Update May 2006

Guess what? I am still happy with the service from Adelphia. My cable modem has been great, and my TV has been great too. HOWEVER!!!! With the TV. I had problems with bad and blurry analog channels with the Motorola set top box. But after getting information from the Adelphia forum here, I found that if I get my hands on the Phase III set top box, my problems would go away.
I managed to get one (the last one) at my local office. And my TV has never looked better.
If any of your complaints are from TV. And you use a Motorola box, please get a new one. Trust me; you will be a lot happier!

    ---------------------------------
    Adelphia is no more

Time Warner took over my area.
It was not a smooth transition. My speeds dropped horribly in the evening. Thankfully a dedicated tech helped to track the problem and helped to get things right. Now my speeds are rock steady no matter the time of day. Just as it was with Adelphia.
At first I thought it was going to suck being moved to Time Warner. But now the bugs are out of the system and I am allot happier.
On a personal note: I wish Adelphia came out of this and remained in tact. They did a heck of a job since the scandal. Tech and customer support where phenomenal. I haven’t had much contact with either since the transition but I am hopeful it will be as top notch as Adelphia’s team where.

    My Other Reviews·RoadRunner Cable
Originally ordered Adelphia powerlink (3mbit/256kbit) late April '04. First 3 months for $15, $45/month thereafter. Inital install of cable line from box outside to my house was horrible. The crew cut through my phone line, so I had to get that fixed. The Install of Terayon TJ 715X modem went smooth until the Tech tried to FIRST hook it up through USB instead of Ethernet. Service was solid for first 9 months, until January when beta testing started for speed upgrades. Had numerous disconnections late at night/early morning. Had to call Tech Support ~10 times for them to agree I had a problem. They sent a Tech within 3 days, who was worthless. Problem continued for another 2 months or so. Finally a team of 2 techs (why 2 I'll never know), who actually knew what they were doing, padded my line. Service has been solid again since, except back in June when the node I'm on went down and I was without internet for over a week. Called Adelphia as soon as I got back online and they took $18 off next bill.

Now that my connection is stable, speed tests are always around 6.5mbit/860kbit (I have premier) so I can't complain. Don't let the "bad tech support" fool you. If you are persistent and keep Adelphia on the ball, they'll get you fixed.

10/13/05 -- Service continues to be reliable. Had a couple disconnects a week ago but I think they were do to my router. The only bad thing is Adelphia's News server seems to be slow. Currently I can only pull about 50kb/s when a month ago speeds were averaging 200kb/s (I don't know the particulars of the News server so I won't blame Adelphia). Currently, I'd rate Adelphia's HSI B+. I'll post more reviews in the future.

12/04/05 -- Adelphia HSI continues to be stable. There seemed to be an issue 3 days ago, with several 5-10min disconnects, but it only lasted for a couple hours. I resolved the newsgroups situation by using a different news reader; now can get ~200kb/s 70% of the time. Hopefully everything keeps running smoothly.

05/11/06 -- I'm happy to report my HSI is still going strong. Disconnects have been close to non-existent these past 2-4 months, except for a 5 second hiccup while I'm in bed once a month or so. Haven't had to call tech support in the longest time, so I couldn't be happier. Now, I'm (still) awaiting the Comcast/Time Warner takeover to see how things play out.

12/09/06 -- My household was recently transitioned over to Time Warner. Like I've posted elsewhere in the forums, it's very difficult to get used to a 60kb/s upload when we had 108kb/s CONSISTENTLY for over 2 years (speeds average 7.8/490 with TW). So far with TW as my ISP, I've had no disconnects or slowdowns in speed; I wouldn't expect less since I never had any huge issues with Adelphia. I'm not using the newsgroups access provided by TW because I'm paying for an unlimited package - 5GB/month just wasn't enough! I plan on posting another update in 4-6 months to discuss TW in more detail. Hopefully my experience with TW will be good as it was with Adelphia, but we'll have to see...

UPDATE 12/6/06: As of this morning, I was transitioned from Adelphia HSI to Time Warner/Roadrunner. I am, overall, satisfied by the transition in that I am now really part of the Time Warner network, not feeling like an "abandoned orphan" of a company that, in a practical sense, no longer really exists. However, I'm also a little saddened, because I really have received some terrific service from Adelphia, and I'm sorry to see them go. The transition came with a decrease in speed (at least temporarily) on the upload side, from almost 900 kbps actual upload throughput to almost 500 kbps with RR, although I did get another mb of download, to almost 8 mbps. Adelphia treated me well and I thankful for the reliable and speedy service I had from them. Review of Roadrunner forthcoming in a few months....

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------

UPDATE 11/26/05: I've had Adelphia HSI for well over a month now. Before my last review update, I posted on the Adelphia forum shortly after signing up that my speeds were terrible and I posted my signal levels. The Adelphia techs that help out on the forum let me know that my signals were unacceptable, and were likely the reason I was experiencing poor service. I promptly called Adelphia, scheduled an appointment, and had a tech out to run a new line from my drop to the modem. Since having this new line ran, my experience with Adelphia has thus far been A+.

Every Adelphia employee that I have spoken with on the phone has not only been kind, but has actually cared about my problem. They have been very sincere, and made actual attempts to expedite things when needed and help me in every way possible. The employees I have spoken with at the local office have also been very friendly and knowledgeable in giving me the pre-sales information. They were the ones who let me know that my area had received an internet upgrade. They also encouraged me to let them personally know if my service was not good, and they told me they would do their best to help out in any way they could. Luckily, that has not been necessary.

Since having the new line ran, my signal levels have been excellent. My ping to gaming servers has been excellent (under 20 to local servers, rarely over 50 to any). My throughput speeds have been spectacular, speedtests ranging from (at the minimum) 6mbps/850kbps to 6.5mbps/1.1mbps. In actual speeds from download servers, I see most often around 780 KB/s, up to 830 KB/s. I have not had any e-mail outages from Adelphia yet, and the e-mail also seems to come very quickly after others send it to me. The newsgroups have a 5 gb cap, which is very small in my opinion. However, it does let you go over a bit if you stay connected....also, the speeds of downloading that 5 gb go over 800 KB/s, and occasionally over 900KB/s. That is fast in my opinion.

If you think that my opinion of Adelphia HSI has changed drastically from the first time I used them, you are CORRECT. I am truly impressed, and very grateful for their service. Thus, I have decided to give them "5"'s for all of the ratings:

Pre-Sales: The reps at the local office were kind and caring, and offered to help extensively if needed. = 5

Install Co-ord: Guy to re-connect my line came within 15 minutes of the install time and date, and did a quick and tidy job. The tech who came out to run a new line from the drop to my modem was FANTASTIC. This gentleman, upon seeing my house (which is quite large and beautiful, with a lot of detail) begged me to let him wire the line differently than I had planned, to further conceal the line. His idea was indeed MUCH better than mine, and he truly cared about the end result. The result is a beautifully concealed line up to 50% shorter than the old line. Very impressed. = 5

Connection Reliability: Since having my new line ran, I have NOT BEEN DISCONNECTED ONCE. 100% reliability so far, and speeds have not slumped even once. I am VERY impressed. = 5

Tech Support: The techs I spoke with on the phone were friendly and caring, and were very helpful. The techs on the forum, who help multiple people each day, are even better. Again, I'm very impressed and very thankful: = 5

Services: E-mail is fast and reliable. Newsgroups, while limited, are fast and very usable. With the Premier package, Adelphia also offers a fully featured regularly updating security suite. All very nice. = 5

Value for money: This was the hardest to rate. I am paying 59.95 for my 6mb/768K plan. I decided to rate this one in accordance with what is available in my area. The only other broadband option I really have is SBC DSL. I had DSL previously with DSLExtreme, and was paying 59.95 for a 6mb/608K plan that, WHILE WORKING, was only giving 5mb/500 K (which was very good for that plan). The DSL was unable to maintain that speed and I had frequent outages and speed decreases, until I was holding steady at 4 mb/384K, with a price still at 59.95. Based on the difference between my experience with DSL and my experience with Adelphia, I decided to rate 5. Oh, by the way, my contract is also MONTH to MONTH, contrasted with the 1 year contract with DSL.

Overall, I am thankful to have a quick and reliable broadband provider in my area. I only hope TimeWarner, when they take over in a year or so, can maintain this level of service. For the moment, I am thrilled.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------

UPDATE 10/18/05: Becoming less and less pleased with my DSLExtreme DSL service, since the contract is expiring, I have ordered Adelphia standard service internet (4 mb/384K).

The line was reconnected on 10/12/05, but I just recently discovered that my internal wiring is hampering the signal. The signal at the drop is actually very good, and I am scheduled to have a direct line ran from the drop to my modem tomorrow (10/19).

It has been a year since I last used Adelphia' service, but my experience is so different so far in dealing with Adelphia this time around that it almost feels like dealing with an entirely different company. I will wait until I have completed my setup and tested it some before I say more, but this may very well end up becoming a very positive review.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------

Moved to a new home, decided to try local cable (Adelphia) as RoadRunner had been so wonderful at my old home. After initial confusion over whether or not the former residents had canceled their account, my order was placed and two weeks later, a tech came out and got the line going.

I immediately upgraded to the premier package to get the 4 mb/512 speeds.

At first, I thought it was pretty decent. I was receiving good speeds, at times over 5000KB down, and close to 600 up. However, these speeds were highly inconsistent, and after the first week or so, I never received speeds this high again.

Also, multiplayer pings were consistently poor considering the amount of upload that I had. No care was taken in minimizing latency when Adelphia's network was set up.

The amount of fluctuation in speed that I saw on a nightly basis was ridiculous considering that I am in an extremely low-density residential situation. My "4mb" connection dropped to barely over a mb at times. Also there was a lot of packet loss.

Overall, it is nice to know that Adelphia is there in the situation that all of my other options are gone.

However, being an avid gamer and a heavy downloader, I think I can do better, and have already switched to DSLExtreme (6mb/608 package). I didn't expect much when I ordered from a bankrupt company currently selling its assets, and I didn't get much. We'll see how DSL works out.

    *11/28/06 UPDATE

WOW ok guys time for an update on their service. Basically with TWC taking over they really cant find themselves. I got a notice of switching to RR network, never happened because they canceled on the whole arcadia suburb two days before. Gee that really sets a good image on their company. And to top that off they send me a notice that i should switch to digital cable...well guess waht I alreayd am subscribed to digital cable! Now how about i see you guys work on that internet connection speed ! the other day i had a tech come in and he was a real great guy. Personally i have to say he is one of the most honest person in the world, he came into my house and installed a new power thingy to give my digital cable more juice so my pictures are better. And also during his discussion with him i found out that the transition wasn't going too great and that the hours and pay was worse than some of the DSL providers. Guess cable needs to work on that. But enough about the bad parts, i really wish the tech guys would get more out of this . The GOOD THING IS THAT MY NETWORK IS NEVER DOWN, i had no troubles at all, so props to adelphia/TWC for that. You guys are very reliable so i forgive u guys even if you guys have bad reps. Well anyways i have to say this as long as my internet and TV doesnt go out, i am ONE happy camper . Please do work on the internet and i would love for you guys to stomp AT&T into the ground, they have horrible service and tech support and definitely need a new network upgrade. AT&T if you're reading this go to hell, honestly sorry for the coarse language, but you guys need to gather your ass up and do something, at least in my area.

thats all adelphia still rocks PLEASE CAN U GUYS GIVE US at least 1 MBP UPLOAD im dying here at 850kbps

Adelphia is like one of the best cable companies out there! i had them for over 5 years now without any problems. Can't even remember the last time i had a major outage in the area.

My only issue would be knowning what the heck the bandwidth cap for my node is, because the CO is like literally 5 blocks away from me

    *8/4/06 UPDATE!!!!*

ok so i switched to the premier package with like 6mbps down and 768kbps, UMM PROBLEM!!!!

first one is that i keep on getting 4.5mbps down which makes me assume my NODE really sucks and they need to look into that, and my upload speed seems to be limited because i have a bandwidth monitor and every time the upload reaches 65KBps up it will overload and something outside will restrict it and move it down to zero >, i dont see what the problem could be other than my node

i called the techies there and they said it was fine, my signal was strong and everything seemed alright

i guess im staisfied, but im pretty uncontent with the upload cap or soemthign thats throttling it and as far as the download goes, i really could care less because i rarely dl much stuff anymore, maybe like 5GB a month worth of stuff

STILL i'd say adelphia is pretty good, just hope they roll out with extreme in my area
