I would not waste my time with this company. I had been with them for over 5 years and decided to make the switch after I noticed these things happening with my DSL service. WARNING! There maybe no contracts to sign with this company, but they will try and bill you for the next month of service even if you do not use it if you cancel.
1. There support has gone down hill since I have been with them. There was one time I needed my service working after paying for installation and the guy I talked to told me to call back the next day because he was going home.
2. If you pay for installation don't trust the tech because I did and I never got them to come back and finish the job. It took me serveral phone calls and hours of work to get my service working on my own even after paying for installation and setup.
3. They do not answer e-mails. You have to call more than once to get anyone over there to respond to issues and it took over 3 months to get the e-mail accounts that were suppose to be included with my service.
4. The equipment is locked out so you can't adjust any settings and they charge you for tech support if your equipment is faulty.
5. They will not credit you for anytime they screw up setting up your account. I was out of service for 3 days and still charged for the whole month even though I did not screw up on my end.
6. I was paying for 6 meg speed for an entire month and only getting 3 megs. Only after I got another DSL modem that displayed the speed for me on a regular basis was I able to discover this. Without this modem I would have never known my service was less than I was paying for.
7. There will be days that your connection will just stop and when you call for support no one is even there to help.
Overall I would warn anyone considering getting service through this company not too. They maybe cheaper, but then again you will get what you pay for. I switched to Comcast and have had no real issues that they were not willing to fix for me.

I'm the owner of Phoenix based network consulting firm. I have been a loyal advocate of DigiZip as they have proven themselves admirably in the past. Recently with the decline of Rhythms they have become horrendous in their customer support & reseller feedback. I currently have 5 clients who are awaiting installaiton dates for more than a month and have no clear installaiton date in sight. The 10th was the initial date for Rhythms to be "shut-off" and all of these clients AND my company would have been without connectivity. To date my own company, and I'm a reseller, does not have an installation date. Repeated Phone calls to literally everyone on their switchboard has resulted in no response. I have verbally and in writing conveyed the severity of my clients connectivity being down numerous times and no one seems to care very much at all. Contracts with my clients make my penalties most severe when their network goes down for any reason. This whole matter wouldn't be more than an inconvienience IF Digizip would have lived up to their promise of getting everyone automatically switched over to AT&T/Covad before the 10th of October. The FCC has bought me time (until the 25th) to get everyone moved from Rhythms. Digizip seems to be squandering the last bit of time I have wioth out signs of any concern at all. They say their not going out of business but such a dramatic reversal of concern to its resellers and their resellers clients has to make you wonder. I'm very understanding of the Rhythms decline and even the increases in monthly cost to a degree but I have a business to run. THIS POST IS A LAST RESORT TO GET THEIR ATTENTION AND BREAK THE SILENCE. If Rhythms decline is going to cost me it will surely cost Digizip financailly and in reputation as well. Sorry guys but you've left me no choice.

BellSouth CLEC party: Rhythms
"reliable connection"
"very high latency , 270ms plus to the nearest game server , no responding account and tech support teams"
"if latency and good tech support is not an issue ( you do not do telnet, vpn, or interactive apps ) then decent isp"

I switched to digizip after speakeasy and another ISP failed to get the line installed. Digizip, after a little prompting from me, did a decent job getting rhythms out to the site and working out the installation issues. My first problem with them was the line was ordered as a 768k line. When the tech came onsite he said he had it provisioned as a 384k line. The tech then tested with Rhythms several times and told me the line could indeed reach 768. However, when I contacted Digizip by email (as I could not get a live body on the phone and leaving messages has proven a waste of time) they denied this and said that the line could only reach 384. This is no big deal to me since 384 is enough for most of my needs.
Next, when I went to play some games online I was upset to see latency as high 400ms and low as 280ms. After doing some pings to a server I have co-located in an ISP about sixty miles away pings were again in the 250ms range. This makes telnet, ssh, and games very slow. When I contacted the ISP about this I was told they do not guarantee latency ( during the presales I was told this would be ' great for games ' ). However, during the presales pitch I was told if I was not happy with the performance of the service I could cancel but this would not be the case as they were a ' commercial ISP ' and not a typical ' residential ISP '. I have sent them several emails regarding this and I have gotten NO RESPONSE in almost 3 weeks of questioning the status of this. I doubt very seriously anything is being done to solve the problem what so ever. I live in Atlanta and all of my neighbors on other dsl and cable connections are getting pings to this same co-located box in the 60ms range and various game servers in the low low 100's. I feel now that I have a dsl connection that does not exhibit the usual low latency characteristics of dsl for interactive apps. If I had known this would be the case I would have just gotten a satellite feed because 300ms to me is unusable anyway.

I wish I had not changed my previous review I have placed up on this site. I wish I have never ordered a line from digizip.com. Their tech support department is just about impossible to reach via phone and email support is ok but sometimes your emails drifts off into space with no response. They gave me a 416k when they promised me I would get a 1.54x1.54mb sdsl line from Rythms the sad part is I am only 6300FEET from the CO ! And I have had northpoint deliver 1.54mb line here before without any problems. I wish Northpoint was still alive.
I am glad for this website so unsatisfied customers can post how they feel so other customers step in the trap.
I guess I am back to looking for a isp, how is steel city?
thank you -Unsatisfied customer
Hopefully this review will get their attention and get this to fix my problem

"If you need special attention during installation/sales - think twice!"

I ordered DSL service in early May from Digizip (residential IDSL). I am a former Northpoint user (via Flashcom) in NJ. The Digizip rep claimed they would have no problem converting me over, and that it would be done in two weeks or less.
Three weeks later, I started calling Digizip to find out what the status of my order was. First of all, I almost never could get a person on the phone - just lots of extensions that lead to voice mail. When I finally got someone, I was promised a call back (on more than one day), and never got one. Then a gentleman named Steve (x202) said that Verizon said they could not provision me a line (given the restrictive nature of their sales agreement, I was upset that noone had called me to tell me this. My hands are tied from seeking other service while my order is pending with these people). I explained to Steve that I already had a line provisioned with Verizon for my Northpoint connection, and that I couldn't understand how they could claim they couldn't provision one for me now. He said he would contact Rhythms and get an answer for me. He never called me back, so I called him yet again. This time he told me that Verizon wanted them to order some $3000/month service in order to get me on in my area. This sounded even more ridiculous, so I reiterated to Steve that I already had a clean circuit. Again, he told me he would contact Rhythms for an answer. I called him back the next day (today), and now he forwards me to a "technician" who tells me that Rhythms won't give me service because I fall outside of the 18,000 foot limit.
This is total crap - I'm 19,500 feet from my CO. The guys at Digizip should have known how far I am from the CO when I ordered, and whether or not Rhythms would service me. I hadl told them that I had had a clean provisioned circuit, so they should have tried to leverage that to establish a new connection for me. They also shouldn't have given me the BS runaround about what was going on. Now I've lost over a month to try and reestablish my DSL connection at home because of these bozos.
So now I found a provider (LocalISP) who checked and double checked and says that Rhythms can provide me service at my house. I'm just set back another 4 to 6 weeks...
My advice about Digizip: find another provider who will be up-front and honest, especially if you have any special needs.
