    My Other Reviews·Cox HSI
my advice, stay as far away as possible from qwest!

    Full story:

We had ordered their internet service a few months after we moved to our new house.

At first we had issues with even getting the modem from them, it took nearly 2 weeks for it to arrive and once it did it was DOA.

We had to send it back so they could send out another one. Another week of waiting.

Finally go it, connected it and called their support to activate. During the call, the tech said that they were not going to be able to activate the service due to some problem with the box outside our house.

They sent out a tech, he did something with it and told us to call Qwest back to activate. So we did so. Now, after nearly a month of waiting for the service it was up.

It was alright for a while, then the speed started getting really slow. the CS was very $***y, just about every time i called, the CS rep hung up on me after placing me on hold for 4 minutes to check our connection.

I finally got this guy that said the box outside the house might be fried. Told him a tech just came out and replaced something in it. He sent out another one.

The second tech told us the first one had connected the replacement jacks incorrectly in the box and it had fired the whole thing out (our phone had also not been working during this time).

He got it fixed and everything was back to normal.

Then the monsoons hit. When ever it rained (even just a little) my connection would drop for hours.

the CS had no explanation for it either.

In the end we decided to drop Qwest completely (we also had Directv through them) and are now using Cox for phone, cable, and HSI at our new house.

I'd suggest anyone thats thinking of going with qwest to be highly cautious.
