    My Other Reviews·chambers cable
Qwest brought DSL to Sunriver, OR last fall. I finally had it with the cable modem service from Chambers cable: sloow (~300K), expensive (~$35), and by far the worst, terrible reliability. This time of year, its out for most of the day (as long as the sun is hitting the equipment pedestals across the street).

Now that qwest is here, I don't have to deal with these guys anymore. Qwest sent the modem 4 days after the online order; I plugged it in, set the username and password, and I'm up and running 1.5M down/ 896K Up, with 28/12 SNR margins. All for $26.99 a month.

    Qwest and Beagle Virus

I have been without Qwest Web browswer access now for a month after repeated calls to customer service (overseas boneheads, of course).

Qwest claims I have a "beagle" virus and has locked me out of Web browser access. When I click an option on their lockout screen to remove the virus, no luck. Just "sorry." I have used McAfee, Stinger, Webroot spysweeper mulitiple times, and I know I've removed anything and everything, but am still frozen out. I cannot get online to download anyother possible virus solution. Qwest says they don't support virus diagnostics, but can't let me back on..I'm on my own.

You bet I'm on my own, and ready to drop Qwest, I don't care how much a I have to pay in early subscription cancellation.

    These people are clueless.
