I'll start by saying that getting a dry loop line at $15/mo for a year with no contract is a sweet deal. It may not be as fast as Comcast but for the price, it can't be beat.
I subscribed to the Pro package which is at 3000kbps down and 512kbps up. I did have to buy a modem but I at least got a Westel ADSL2+ modem that they sent me. The area I live in has all packages available but I chose Pro based on the price.
The only bad thing that happened was the tech that was scheduled for the day of activation didn't show up. I have 2 lines coming to my house going to 2 different boxes but none of the phone jacks were connected to either one. I didn't have the tools or supplies to connect it myself so I needed a tech to come out. That was resolved after calling AT&T support in which they had a tech come out the next day to get the jack connected, tested, and made sure the modem would connect before leaving. All I had to do from then on was connect a PC to the modem and setup the rest myself.
