I am paying $45 for only a .5 mbps download speed. The technician that came to my house told me I won't get any higher because of my distance from the central office

Next make sure you have the top tier 3meg down 768 up anything less will be prone to buffering or game lag, trust me, I do quite a bit of online gaming & it works perfectly, granted I can't play pandora at the same time in the background because there will be lag, but what do you expect, for dsl.  | |

The speed plan that you buy won't help there (and it doesn't matter for this reviewer's case, anyway, as he remarked that that the line won't support more than 0.5 mbps down). | |

Ozone Park, NY | Re: Review of Verizon Online DSL When I signed up for them i was notified all right. I was told I would have 7 Mb/s only to find out I'm getting above 2 Mb/s. They will tell you anything just to get you sign up. They're shady company with dishonest, disrespectful customer service. | |
