I live in the boonies, so haven't been able to get broadband for quite some time. They finally installed a remote terminal in our area, and as I'm less than 1.5 miles from it, I managed to get the 3MB package. It has a fair speed (I routinely get downloads of around 300+KB).
Installation was easy enough, and the connection has been rock solid. I've had to power-cycle the modem once, but it immediately came back on after I did so.
After having to deal with dialup, it's a marked change. I do wish we could have even faster service -- especially on upload speeds, but I'm not one to complain. It's too bad it's very unlikely they'll put FIOS in here for years and years, if ever.
